Yeah, they mentioned how he only agreed to screen his film there as long it was out of competition, because he doesn't believe or agree with festivals and having films "compete" against one another.

I think Cannes is pretty much the only public event he attends nowadays.

Same problem with Emma Stone in Magic in the Moonlight.

I actually totally agree about Steve Carell. Seems like a total miscast. He replaced Bruce Willis in the role.

Interesting. This is the first film Allen has shot digitally instead of film.

Oh, didn't know that. Makes me doubly interested to see Storaro's work. Did they shoot this in 2.00:1?

No problem! I find this sort of stuff interesting, and can watch it all day. Fortunately enough, I work at a computer for 8 hours a day, so I can leave it running.

I found out about it during last year's festival. I love these panels and press conferences.

Also, if you miss out on any of the live videos, I'm 99% certain they upload each individual sections/press conferences/interviews as separate videos after the fact.

I watched the whole press conference and it was very interesting. I have to say, I'm head over heels in love with Kristen Stewart.

She does look great. Between Equals, Cafe Society, Certain Woman, and and Personal Shopper...2016 could be her year. She's definitely been busy.

There's just something so genuine and fragile about her

I love how they are asking everybody on the red carpet what their favorite Woody Allen film is. Everybody has a response right away, nobody has to really think about it. It's good to see people in the film industry as fans of film.

So much love for Hannah and Her Sisters (deservedly so).

So I'm not sure how "live" this stream is.

Considering they are showing the Photocall for the jury right now, and it's super bright outside, even though it's currently 9:40pm in Cannes, France.

I wish I had "Thanks" for this post.

I think the first Woody picture I saw in the theater was Manhattan. I was in love with his films since that moment.

I watched Clouds of Sils Maria earlier and really enjoyed it so I'm definitely looking forward to hearing how Assayas' Personal Shopper does. Stewart was fantastic in Sils Maria. Can't wait to see what she does with the lead role.

Money Monster Photocall/Press Conference airing now.

I can't wait to see it, mainly because of the praise Jodie Foster is receiving for her direction. Not a big fan of George Clooney or Julia Roberts. I loved Jack O'Connell's performances in Starred Up and '71.

Films I can't wait to see reviews for:

American Honey, dir. Andrea Arnold
Elle, dir. Paul Verhoeven
Graduation, dir. Christian Mungiu
The Handmaiden, dir. Chan-wook Park
It's Only the End of the World, dir. Xavier Dolan
Julieta, dir. Pedro Almodovar
The Neon Demon, dir. Nicolas Winding-Refn
Paterson, dir. Jim Jarmusch
Personal Shopper, dir. Olivier Assayas

Hard to pick a winner for the Palme d'Or obviously first and foremost as I haven't seen one but if I was a betting man I'd day Dolan is due one. His features so far have been great and at such a young age he is so confident and charasmatic when it comes to writing and directing. The boy is a huge talent.
