see, just the opposite for me, from my cable company, I got perfect 5.1 for it. the surround was sofa king good and creepy, plus, many of the things that occur in the series take place over head or at ceiling height, demons, ceiling fans, possession sounds, bangs on roofs and things of that nature that it would so benefit from ATMOS to fully give you the sense of being in the room.

plus, the ending rock songs played were always in perfectly separated stereo and that shit was boss!

anybody got Sam Raimi's phone number, perhaps a desperate, begging phone call for ATMOS might do the trick!

I had to watch on the STARZ app. The sound was so compressed that I considered just waiting for the bluray. It sounded like an MP3 that I would have found on napster back in 2001.

Was sort of hoping for a collector's edition like Anchor Bay always does for The Walking Dead.

I usually pass on them, but I would've made an exception for Ash.

Its still early, Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart haven't put up their pre-orders yet so there is still hope for some exclusives.

OT loved that this is a series. Another movie would have been great, but this is like a 5 hour movie by itself and no holds barred. Can't wait.

Pretty much the only way to watch this until Comcast settles their BS corporate feud and let's their login be used for the Starz app again.

It's actually available to buy on Amazon Video on Demand, Vudu, and iTunes now. Ridiculous that they waiting until the show finished airing to make it available for streaming purchases though.

Hey everybody. I just want to know with this TV series, is it any good or not? I am a fan of the Evil Dead series (who isn't!), but I couldn't watch the show due to it only being available on streaming services down here in Australia. So with the announcement of the home video release, I'm pondering on whether to get this or not.

I thought it was good. It's basically a 6 hour long Evil Dead 4, full of Ash one-liners. It has more of the over-the-top gore from Evil Dead 2, but it also has a lot of the slapstick humor from Army of Darkness. Some episodes even seemed to fit in with the style from the first Evil Dead. I think that if you like the movies, then you would like the show.

Like i say that would be a travesty if it only came out on Blu-Ray in the States and we al know its region coded. If it was region free i wouldnt have a problem but i am 99.9% sure this will sadly be region coded

How about Germany, australia, france ect ? Please let them get this on Blu-Ray, UK is stupid if this does not get a Blu-Ray release. A freakin Cult horror comedy sequel show!

Being this is Anchor Bay, what are the chances of them following their TWD / Fear TWD release model, and double dipping with a Special Edition later?

When does Season 2 start? I may wait until then to be safe.
