I was going to wait for price drop, but may pick up if it's limited. But don't care about the steelbook, just the extra disc that standard version don't have.

All steelbooks are limited. It is currently $19.99 right now but if you have GCU at BB then it drops it to $15.99 which is probably the cheapest it'll be.
GCU - Gamers Club Unlocked = $35 for 2 years. Totally worth it because of random deals like this. If not then $19.99 will probably be the cheapest imo. If you are looking to only get the anime, worst off you could get the steelbook then sell it and the movie and just keep the anime. I'm sure the movie could get $15 easily.

It's a wide release. My copy arrived from Amazon(along with the RWBY steelbook) in fantastic condition.
So even if there was hurricane bearing down on me it wouldn't matter.

I wouldn't say that, but I will say, that my store probably only had about a dozen when I went there yesterday at about noon. it will depend on how many gamers, anime fans, curious customers and of course scalpers hit up a copy.

so, take your chances and wait if you want to. as for just wanting the extras disc, you can probably sell the steelbook case (and the movie if your not interested in it) on ebay or this site (not in this thread of course ) and may a little coin.

Does Gamers Club discount game system? Then I might consider it, since I'm planning to buy Scorpio to be my 4K player. But I don't have time to play games these days to justify paying $35 if it's only for games.

I'm trying to avoid getting into steelbook. With my collection mentality, I'll definitely be broke if I start it. I do have Dark Knight Returns, Guardians of Galaxy, and recent Civil War steelbook because they looked just too cool. But I'm trying not to buy it unless it's the same price or contains something extra like this one. I stopped buying anything on day 1 unless it contains the exclusive disc, I don't need steelbook to add to the budget) I tend to wait everything else until it's cheap enough - thats why I can buy more

As for selling the steelbook, I would never do that. I need the complete package. I don't hate steelbook, I just wouldn't pay more or on day 1 for it (except Civil War, that was just too awesome)

I'm pretty sure it's for games, additional credit by trading used games, and gaming accessories. I don't think there's a benefit for systems.

GCU gives you discounts on new (20%) and used (10%) games as well as Toys To Life (Disney Infinity, Amiibo, Lego Dimensions, etc). It does not give you a discount on hardware or accessories. You also get extra reward points for games and Toys To Life Purchases with GCU which can help you earn reward certificates faster. It also works when games are on sale (i.e if a $50 game is on sale for $19.99, you'd still get an additional 20% off making it $15.99) If you buy 3 new games at release in 2 years you've already saved more than the $30 it costs for the two years.

Also they had that sale a few weeks ago where GCU was working on all UHD movies but I'm not sure if that will be an re-occurring opportunity or not.

Sidenote also if you preorder certain games you also get a bonus $10 cert. I have mine till like 2018 and it has already paid for itself. GCU is awesome.

I bought my GCU back in July. Already used it twice for Madden 17 and NBA 2k17.

This as well. I've been getting reward certs all over the place. I bought an amiibo for like $7 and between the GCU bonus and my Best Buy Visa bonus, I got almost 100 points. Over the last two or three months I've ended up eventually with $55 that I used to pre-order the Knight Rider Blu-ray. I don't even buy from Best Buy that often aside from the exclusive steelbooks and video games. GCU is the gift that keeps on giving.

It really is a great program. I think it really helps people buy more at BB versus GS. GS is a joke imo. I mean I like them but I never buy new games from them ever since I got GCU.

Thank you all for the info. Definitely not getting the Gamers Club though. Haven't bought a new game on released day since I don't know how long. If I do buy games, I always wait until it become "game of the year", "Greatest Hits" or other discount line. Don't have time to play games anymore Don't remember last time I finished a game either (Don't think I even finished half of Final Fantasy XIII and didn't even open my XIII-2 yet. ) I know I'm not going to buy Final Fantasy XV until much later or if ever.

But I think I will purchase this steelbook if I can find it in the store (saw 2 copies yesterday) My price point was $14.99 for this, but I don't mind $5 if there is any chance that I might miss out on bonus disc.

Honestly the extra $5 is worth it just for the anime alone. If you are like me and love anime then totally worth. And you can sale the digital code for $5 to make up some of the cost. I sold my extra copy and in theory I only paid $10 for the steelbook.

For once I'm not waiting on this one. Even tho the majority of the ones being sold are no doubt to scalpers and they'll eventually have to put them up for auction and will probably sell for $20 but I ain't waiting that long
