So I was debating and researching on this projector, but I decided to go with the JVC DLA-RS400 which is apparently really nice and better than this one. Can't wait to get it!

Yeah if gaming wasn't important to me id prob save for one of the JVC models. But I really don't want to run two projectors etc so I'm going to get the Epson.

I'm also down to these two Epson 5040 or JVC rs400. I'll thinking of keeping my Benq w1070 for TV and gaming and the other one for just movies at night.

I had it for a 5 days but returned it. Just didn't find it enough of a upgrade from my old Epson tw5500. With some content I use Frame interpolation on Low on my old Epson and it works well. On the 5040 I notice artefacts straight away. Found motion clarity to be inconsistent even with FI off. This is comparing to my old LCD not a DLP or anything. Contrast didn't seem much better than my old machine.

If this was my 1st projector id probably be happy. It has plenty of brightness and if u can find the sweet spot in enhancements its a good projector. Especially for the features and price. If you want PS4 gaming and a good movie projector and be able to accept 4K content via Eshift then this is your best option for price.

If its just for movies and your budget can go up a bit then id try demo a JVC X5000. I'm going to demo a X7000 next week.

Itching to upgrade to this, thank you for the feedback.

Heard that this PJ is not 18 /Gbps and only 10. Glad I jumped on the JVC RS400 instead.

Yep, I was seconds away from pulling the trigger before doing more research and cannot decide between the JVC and the BenQW8000 now either.

Don't know anything about the BenQ, but my JVC is incredible.
