![]() ![]() The ones from further away that the woman took of me and Shailene are much nicer and in focus. But I'm not posting those. I'm really glad I covered my face in that pic I posted here because a Shailene fan account with 30k followers screenshot and posted my post. ![]() |

It's pretty awesome to meet people you idolize. I met Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) in 1994 the night before their Toronto Dec 1st show at a small club where I was DJing, so I had my CDs with me and got him to sign The Downward Spiral. We chatted for a few mins before he rejoined his bandmates. About 30 mins later he told me he really enjoyed the tunes I was playing. It was aces, 22 years later it still puts a smile on my face.
She's very pretty, congrats on getting a pic for a permanent memento and cool she was so personable to you. |

Then I looked her up and found she was more like 5'6. Are you sure you're 6'1 dude? ![]() |

She looks about 5'7 to me just going by eye test, but the screen can be deceiving. They can make actors smaller or taller depending on how they are shot. |

Living in NYC, you encounter tons of celebrities all the time. Pretty much anyone who has been living here for at least 12 months has at least one story about a celebrity they bumped into. You literally bump into them. Happens more with male celebs than female.
I've met lots of local NY celebs that most people outside the tri-state wouldn't know. But some of the more big name celebs I've crossed paths with are Zac Efron, Tracy Morgan, Dr. Oz, Al Rocker, Regis Philbin. But the craziest encounter was Adele. Not really that crazy of a story. She was just outside a building, smoking a cigarette. We took a selfie together, and she was a very sweet woman. But what is crazy, is that it was about a week before Rolling in the Deep hit the airwaves. And she went on to be a mega star. |

Cool story - thanks for posting the pic. I am a fan of the Divergent films (just finished watching Allegiant recently) - though, if I hadn't been, I'm not sure I would know who she was. I honestly didn't recognize her name, though I do recognize her face.

Had no idea who this is but it's still a great story and you're obviously excited, so well done! Seems like a very nice, cute girl, and those are always nice to get pics with whether they're famous or not!
I've gotten pics with lots of "celebrities" at conventions and stuff (term somewhat generously applied), but my favorite random encounter was when I ran into Bob Odenkirk in an elevator at SDCC back in 1998. I was a massive Mr. Show fan and didn't want to bug him, but oddly enough he started talking to me. Probably realized from body language that I knew who he was and could tell I was nervous. Totally super nice guy, asked how I was enjoying the con, etc. Wish I'd gotten a pic, but this was before the advent of the phone camera. Pretty amazing how his career has changed over the years. |

I saw Kris Humphries in a Best Buy once. He was in the blu-ray section with a stack of BDs in his hand
![]() Since he was an end of rotation bench player on my team in those days, he had plenty of time for blu-rays I guess. |

majority of them that i've met have been cool people. It's even more funny when you don't realize who it was you just spoke to. Got in an elevator about 5 years ago in LA and this other dude gets on. Had a good chat. Laughing, etc. About ten minutes later I see a sign saying "Today meet Peter Facinelli from Twilight! Autograph session in the lobby!" and there he was on the poster.
Sat next to Eddie Vedder at a concert (actually watching his own opening band). He was incognito. Felt bad for him because once someone recognized him it turned into a circus. |
