That Fullslip A has tons of potential for 'bossing...!

I don't own any of the marvel movies on premium packages because they're all so darn expensive, not to mention there are so many movies in the collection. May just start a Cap set with this.

The Winter Soldier is my favourite movie and I already own ten copies (well, kinda, four of them are Walmart slips only ), but holy mother of god those are amazing and I need them all.

I'm going to have to think seriously about this because that's a lot of money, but also, I want them.

The shield full slip is tempting; I imagine kimchidvd will give it a nice finish like their previous full slips. But I'm still not crazy about all the teal, over-photoshopped artwork on the steel itself and such. I actually would've preferred something like what they used for the art cards. The black and red is pretty striking.

It's used as the back cover of the Nova Fullslip.

Having thought about this, I can't justify buying all three since the lenti is so similar to Blufans and the A1 front is the same as the Nova fullslip back and the back is the same cover shot as the steelbook that I own many times over. So I'll go for the A2 version because while it was used for the Nova lenti, I don't own that one (I ain't paying $300 for it on ebay).

And I may go for the group buy as well, since I just realised the time it goes on sale is 5pm next Thursday my time, and I'll be off to see Suicide Squad at 6pm, so I don't have time to be messing about trying to order things since I finish work at 5pm and will be having dinner out before I go. I'm not sure if they have the same server issues as Nova, but if they do I definitely don't have the time.

Ah, but not as a front, like the Lenti = which has already been used as frontal artwork.

I'd be quick on the GB though as I believe only 40 or 45 (of each) are pre-allocated this time.

personally, am still torn between just the lenti, or the lenti AND A1 (shield full slip)
Still, got almost a week to decide

Eh, to me it doesn't really matter in what context the artwork was used (front, back, slip, inside, etc.) just that fact it was used somewhere on a premium release. Photoshoping images, like the ones used on the steelbook being used numerous times else where also count so to me this is an easy pass.

Dont get me wrong, I'd prefer something new, but when its a reversal of a stunning image - ie the faded shield - I dont mind

The front and back images of the steelbook were used on the Walmart slipcovers if I'm not mistaken. Nice overall but I own enough versions of this already.

Apparently, Tony has confirmed(over at HDN) that the Lenticular slip will be a side-slip box, like the ones made for The Incredibles

Thats my decision made - Lenti all the way

Just have the partial slip Taiwan import and the tough choice will be 'do I keep both, or sell the Taiwan copy' (I dislike having multiple copies of movies, despite have 2 lots of Avengers and Incredibles.... )

Yeah I try not to buy multiple copies, but there are a few movies where I can't help it.

After mulling it over a bit, I think I'm going to take a chance on ordering one myself. The costs of the GB are just too much compared with getting one on my own, and it's not like I'm lacking on versions of the movie if I do miss out. But honestly I'd just pick one up from ebay if I had to, I own 4 Novas and I got them all from there, if you wait a bit you can get a reasonable deal which would probably be less than from the GB.

But also, since I'll be at work at least I'll have a 100Mbps connection which should give me a good chance at getting through. This does have a 4,000 print run and there've already been premium releases for it through both Nova and Blufans, so fingers crossed I'll be able to get one myself.

Default Really just in it for the Steelbook TBH

After seeing all the art, went with A1 Fullslip as it might get some special embossing and textures on the shield. Also, I have Blufans and Nova Lenti's so it makes sense (to me at least ) as the other front art is the same and no need to DD on slips

I guess inconvenience of the time or not being able to be online when it goes live? I don't think it'll sell out in 90 seconds, but if it's in the middle of the night for you, or you'll be at work with no ability to be on a computer (or your mobile) then the GB is the only option because it'll most likely sell out relatively soon.

Speaking of buying it, can anyone let me know how Kimchi's servers are? I only have experience with the nightmare that is Novamedia's ones, and I can't afford to take more than 30 minutes at the most in order to get this.

Kimchi has excellent servers usually. If it sells out quick, you will know within 5 minutes at the most. I think your copy is reserved once you make it to the paypal page, if you completely check out after then of course. That is just what I have observed though so take it with a grain of salt.

Nova is well known for shitty servers, but I think they upgraded them recently? Haven't ordered from them in like a year.

Good to know. I've read through threads for Nova releases after the fact and it's filled with people commenting for an hour and a half because they keep getting errors, and I really don't have time for that. They apparently did get their servers "upgraded" but iirc it didn't make much difference, but the last release of theirs I was checking for was AoU last year, so maybe things have improved since then.

But I'm glad to hear Kimchi's should be more decent, cheers.
