You should really look into importing Blu-rays. That is if you can get past the ratings logos. They are almost always a lot cheaper overseas, a lot of times 2-3 times less expensive.

It's insane how expensive they are in the US compared to overseas. I've gotten some fantastic deals. On top of that, some series are Blu-ray exclusives in Europe, such as the complete House MD, Eureka, King of Queens, etc.

It's clear that AoS S3 will never be out on Blu-ray, so I'm selling my copies of Agents S1 and S2, as well as any other Disney shows and movies I own. Darn you Disney for not giving the fans what they want!

I still think Agents of Shield won't last much longer. Have you seen the ratings? Again the premier started strong and they drop each week. I think the only thing that'll save the show is if Shield reappears in the movies. I think this season is its most interesting yet but obviously viewers disagree. They won't be able to justify the money spent on the show if the ratings keep dropping. They need to link the series to the movies or this season could be its last. We may never see a BD release for the series here again. I'm guessing S1 & 2 weren't big sellers or we'd already have S3. The fact it's being released in the U.K. Must mean it's more popular there. I could take the show or leave it. It's good, not great. I liked Agent Carter more. I preferred the action adventure of old style comic book adventures, before all the alien stuff and high tech weaponry. I'll take a woman who uses her brain to win but also knows how to fight versus people who fight aliens with computer gadgetry any day. And yes, I know I'm one of the few and that's why the show was cancelled. I really may sell my S1 & and S2 AoS BD's. I just wish we had more Agent Carter (but watch her in Conviction as she's really good but ratings indicates it may not get remewed so watch while you can,

Thank you. My post wasn't meant seriously (see the spoiler and the post directly before it), but I do appreciate your helpfulness. Thanks again.

Angels ended with the cliffhanger the makers wanted. They knew they were cancelled. They were upset by it, but they chose to go out with that end - it was written as the end, it was not a situation where there was a resolution that would have been seen if it had been renewed.

So while the showrunners wanted Angel to go past five seasons, the ending of the episode was intended as the series finale, and what is perceived as a "cliffhanger" is more of alluding to the fact that Angel's battle never ends. Whether or not that idea gets across is up to the individual viewer. A better example of a show that was on for four seasons and ended on a cliffhanger is My Name is Earl. The early seasons of the show were championed by NBC and while ratings faltered they were still respectable, but the cost of music for the show made it one of the most expensive comedies on the air. The showrunners asked if they were in danger of being cancelled and NBC said no, so they ended their final season on a cliffhanger only to have the network stab them in the back. And alas, what was once NBC's cool kid became it's red headed stepchild as they alienated both the people who worked on it and the fans by chiding them for no reason and claiming it was their fault that it was cancelled. So no, the amount of seasons a show has doesn't always relate to whether or not it gets a proper ending. |

If the show is cancelled before filming wraps, then yes, shows could tack on a lame rushed series finale ending, but that decision would need to be made around February or March. |

I missed the bluray announcement the first time it was posted. Glad we're finally getting a release somewhere!
I'm probably not helping the cancellation/renew argument because I haven't been able to watch more than a couple episodes with that new time slot. Maybe I'll just do a season pass and hope that contributes to whatever numbers they use to make decisions. |
