I preordered this from AMZ in the hopes that it is in fact a wide released steelbook. If not then I'll just sell it.

love all 4 films but not so sure how're they going to pull off the nice artwork combined all 4 films... it's gonna be messy... hope they can come up with something nice (and not like 4 frames as regular case artwork)...

Same here, but I'm afraid it's going to be the current quad-box art. I'd prefer something like a collage of characters from the 4 films like they have on their webpages...

Yeah I wouldn't worry/cancel yet. Home Alone and the Expendables films didn't say steelbooks on the product pages but that's what people ended up receiving. May have been the case for ID4 too but I can't recall that as well. I'll wait longer.

The listing originally said both steelbook and box set. I have a feeling this will end up being a normal box set, but would love to be proved wrong.

I like how their response says basically nothing. True, you "should be expecting to have a steelbook." But our question is: "Will it actually be a steelbook?"

Regardless, I got in on the $24.99 price, so I'll keep it, and if it's not a steelbook, I can certainly sell it for at least what I paid for it.

Well, I decided to ask Best Buy about this, too, and the response I received just adds to the mystery:

"Thank you for contacting Best Buy.

Since your able to pre-order the 'The Ultimate Laika Collection' CD in steelbook Boxed Set you will receive this CD with a steelbook. The one that you're seeing in the website is an indication that the promotion for the 'The Ultimate Laika Collection' CD in steelbook Boxed Set has already expired and now they're already selling the regular 'The Ultimate Laika Collection' CD."

I feel like that response doesn't really clear things up.

But I have to say, this is the most intriguing pre-order I've placed. I have no idea what's coming to me. Kind of fun.

Preordering this release is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

The worst case scenario, it'll get returned to a Best Buy store. I'm not worried. $25 for all four movies is still a bonus, and yeah, definitely would like it to be a steelbook. We will see.

Ugh, so pissed. The card I ordered this with had some fraudulent charges and I had to cancel the card. Of course, Best Buy tries to obtain authorization today. Log in to my account, and there's no mechanism to change the payment method. Call customer service, which is a call center overseas, and the dude says he can't change the payment method and offers to transfer me to Citibank. WTF? I didn't use, or even have, a Citibank card. Long story short, there goes my order. Hope it's an ugly looking steel (Sorry all, that's pretty petulant and selfish).
