I’m just happy George Miller is looking to do a new film, I’ll take the film how it comes. That said this made me laugh...

It's a funny dilemma tbh and personally i think it could be the tech side moreso but it's an interesting angle to think of too.

My only slight issue with The Irishman VFX is that even if the actors look younger, the actors still move like men in their 70s/80s. I think the actual de-aging tech looks mostly fine though, and in scenes where the actors are seated, it works well enough. Ultimately if the movie is good enough and I'm invested in the story/characters, I can overlook some small issues with VFX. It's not something that really bothers me to the point that I can no longer see the forest for the trees.

Only thing I had as well. You can digital de-age the cast, but not their physicality. That aside Irishman is a good film.

Death Stranding's cutscenes are remarkable, though.

But really, the way Kojima pulled that off without being able to develop his own engine from the ground up, is insane.

Kojima is basically to gaming as James Cameron is to film.

It is for the role of Furiosa, but both could end up playing it.

I'm glad he's just going to cast a younger actress. The whole de-aging thing was just so stupid on Irishman. They took De Niro back like 40 years and he still moved like a 75 year-old. Just cast a different actor. It's worked for like...the whole of cinema history. I'm sure it'll work for you too, Marty. And then your movie could have been made 20 years ago for half the budget. De-aging works in spurts or if you're trying to take 5-15 years off your actor depending on the age. It doesn't work when you're taking someone from 75 back to 35.

I don't think Miller was throwing shade at the quality of The Irishman or its visual effects.
He was just pointing out that the technology is not perfect yet, thus he won't use it.
