Yeah, you have to watch the MM films as soon as you can. Mad Max and the Road Warrior are classics, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome...well, 2/3 ain't bad.

Fury Road is one of my all time favorites.

Seems a similar (no, not identical, obviously, as colour and dimensions are different things...) situation to me.

Still, I already have the 3D version, so I don't care that this doesnt include it.

I'm just disappointed they didn't include the silent score they made for the BW version. They both have the same soundtrack on these new releases. Why only go half way? Maybe they'll make a fully loaded UHD, or something.

An email from Zavvi this morning stated less than 500 copies left. I ordered one even though the coupon Zavwel54 didn't work (and I used the link).

As a comparison, I really like the B&W version of The Mist. It brought an enitrely different "feel" to the movie compared with the color version. I am expecting a similar reaction to Fury Road when I get to view the Black and Chrome edition.

Question: as of now, is this Zavvi steelbook the only steelbook edition for Fury Road Black and Chrome?

Never trust these e-mails from Zavvi. It's just a selling tactic. Even if they do sell out, they will magically stumble upon a batch close to selling point

An't I imagine there will be a steelbook available from either or both the german & Italian amazon

Not saying Zavvi doesn't pull every sales tactic in the book, but copies becoming available, close to release, happens to most steelbook retailers due to credit card cancellations.

Your comment is disputed, it is the same. It wasn't filmed in 3d and it wasn't filmed in B&W so the concern that a UK 3D steelbook is yet to be released is perfectly valid

i have pretty good instincts with this stuff and i can pretty much guarantee this will sell out. fury road has a big fanbase and it's not expensive, region free, and a new way to watch the movie.
