absolutely, I do. My Nokia has a rare instance of switching back on by it's own, but this has happened on less than a handful of occasions.

But absolutely I switch my phone off. It is an item of luxury, not life ordeath.

Almost an absurd reality elsewhere other than America, I can't say that is ever in my consciousnesses . There is the prospect for gun violence. but the likely hood of encountering that here in New Zealand is unlikely. It must be said if only phones were used in emergency siituations rather than standard social updates.

They have gotten much better, but they still are not there on a technical level.

Maybe theater mode could let you access the sound from the movie and let you listen to it on your personal headphones. That would be awesome.

True to a point. You can argue the more higher end wireless you buy, especially Sennheiser, you're getting comparable/equal audio quality. Bluetooth is lacking, sure, because of the way it transmits obviously, but the point for most of those devices is not having to be near the device transmitting audio. I think most people are not audiophiles and the ease of use of bluetooth makes it a logical offering. Would I pull an Apple and ditch a headphone jack? No. But I would offer Air Pods and make them the next trendy accessory.

Just turn it off, it's really not that hard.

I put my phone on airplane mode, silent and THEN turn it fully off when I watch something at the cinema. If I get antsy I'll maybe check my watch to see how long is left.

They should add this to the Apple Watch if anything. It's getting increasingly common for someone to naturally move their arm around during a movie and the screen on the watch light up. I don't have one so no idea if there is a feature that prevents this.
