That's what I'm doing - starting to make my way through 4k steels for when I upgrade. I've got the TV, just not a player yet. So when there's a 4K steel option, I take that.

Just realized the 4k steel and the regular BD version are the same price, so i went ahead and preordered. I wonder if they plan to pull a Jason Bourne and drop the BD listing, since it's still not available.

The Steelbook looks gorgeous, but I think I'll have to stick with the 3D release. I definitely would pick up the Steelbook if there was a 3D version, but that does not look to be the case.

Collector OCD. I try not to go out of the way to get a steel for a movie I like so to get one for a movie I don't like is a waste of money to me.

Looking at the bigger picture, as long as folks are supporting:

1) the format
2) B&M retailers
3) collectible exclusives

Sound like a win/win to me.

Probably in the minority, but I liked it. Played all the games except IV, so I was well versed going into the film.
