I am interested in seeing this, but I have a question...Do Netflix films ever make their way to physical media?

I don't believe a single one of their movies has been released on bluray or dvd, in the US at least. If any have it's only been a handful; it's definitely not the norm, unfortunately. I would gladly add Beasts of No Nation and Okja to my collection.

Yep those are the two I'd love in my collection, too

It depends on the distributor for the films.

Was just about to post my thoughts lol. I watched it last night and thought it was excellent. Flanagan scored again with this masterfully made psychological thriller and I think it's one of the best Stephen King adaptions ever made. Highly recommended!

I wonder how Bruce Greenwood with 61y old has a 30y old body. Was that fake? Or he eats too much bio oatmeal with blueberry?

Movie was ok if u like the cast and dont bother to watch Carla handcuffed to a bed screaming with bruce greenwood looking like a 30y old magic mike contender.

Man, that was very good. Tough to watch at times, but very well done. The
[Show spoiler]degloving
literally left my mouth agape for a minute or two after, and I am not easily shocked by movies hahah. And the
[Show spoiler]Moonlight Man
was pretty creepy too.

Been a good month for King adaptations. I hope "1922" follows suit next month!

Yeah the
[Show spoiler]degloving was crazy! I can stomach a lot of gore but that one was pretty disturbing. Awesome effects too.

While I liked parts of the film the timid lack of sexual experimentataion female really bugged me. I mean really you are going to freak out by being handcuffed? Meh... the violence was okay. I need to read the source material now.

I thought it was okay. It felt like a play, in a good way. The acting was solid, with Gugino being great. Part of the finale made me squirm like hell, and there was a point after where I thought it could have ended and been a better film, because
[Show spoiler]that epilogue
was dumb. Still, worth watching for sure, but nowhere near my favorite King adaptation of the year, It.

Yep - totally true. He needs a "closer" like in baseball when they bring in the hard-throwing lefty to close the game out.

Mike Flanagan has been very solid so I expect this to be pretty good either way.

If you maintain your body well all your life, eat healthy and work out several times a week, then you too can have a body like that at 61. Oatmeal alone won't do it though.

Watched it last night thought it was good. Does a good job of holding your interest. My only complaint is about the last minute of the film it sucked. Which the book did to would have been better if
[Show spoiler]it had been left as death instead of the killer. Kind of ruins the scenes of the dog and death after her.
Other wise a good film.

[Show spoiler]The whole thing about her being a victim of sexual abuse which resulted in her marrying an abusive husband, who lives out his rape fantasy on her, completely went over your head then ?

I thought it was solid. Gugino was great. Those eclipse scenes, while creepy given the context, were absolutely stunning to look at. One scene had my hand over my mouth the entire time. The ending wasn't great though. But that's to be expected from Stephen King.

Flanagan did a great job with the film.

I thought it was great. Though unlikely, I'd certainly buy it if it hits blu-ray.

My only mild complaint is part of the ending,
[Show spoiler]I think it would have suited with the viewer better if she hadn't gone to "confront" the Moonlight Man. It should have ended right before that, leaving the viewer to continue to think to themselves "Holy shit, he was real the whole time..."
.

But overall, great movie! 9/10

The
[Show spoiler]degloving
may have screwed me up for life.

Thought this was solid overall but nothing great. Gugino was fantastic though.

Yes I agreed with completely about the ending. That would have been perfect but the confrontation was just very lifetime. Otherwise I loved it.
