This? Adult watch "Ghost in the Shell" for the anime movie or series.
Ghost in the Shell is anime Japanese. It's original from Japan.

Sure...you'll wait for a price drop on the normal UHD.

Are you watched "Akira" anime Japanese movie?? Look much same as "LUCY" I thought. I'm sure..

I bet this would look amazing in 3D but I bet it would also look amazing in 4k if done right. Shame it looks like there won't be a 3D/UHD/blu-ray combo pack like Passengers. That is the proper way to do a release. Buy it once and get all the premium formats together so we can choose which one to watch. I will not be buying movies multiple times. If I have to choose it will be 3D every time, unless the 3D is poor on that particular title.

I've seen many, if not all (I've lost track) of the UHD BDs that have a 3d counterpart and while I prefer the UHD in some instances, for the most part I prefer the 3D version. But mileage can vary from my own experience I preferred the UHD in most instances over the active 3d on the sony 850c but the passive on the lg c6 is simply phenomenal and found myself selling a lot of my UHDs thanks to it.

Well, I guess that's a silly question since most everything is nowadays, but now that they're promoting the movie, is there talk from the filmmakers about something concrete regarding story?
It's supposed to be, but I don't know if it'll make enough to warrant a sequel. I don't see it making $250+ million at the box office.

Gotta agree, the 3D on the LG C6 is truly excellent, but so is the UHD. I just picked up the LG UP970 player to go with it, which is going to be Dolby Vision compatible by firmware update in a few months. Ghost In The Shell has been announced as one of the first Dolby Vision discs to be released, so I'm gonna have to pick that up over the 3D copy! 😎

Unsurprisingly no 4K/3D combo pack. In other words I'm forced to make a tough choice again.

Regardless of that I'm eagerly anticipating this. Haven't even seen the film in theaters, so have no idea if it's any good, but it looks like eyecandy to me and who doesn't like some candy?

It's sweet candy. I've just got back from watching it, ignore any negative critics, it's very cool! 😎

The money this film pulled in domestically wasn't very impressive. If it does poorly globally, it may have a tad bit of trouble breaking even. Maybe home video sales will help in that regard though. I was interested in seeing this, but not TOO interested. I'll probably see it eventually though.

Ok I stand corrected... this doesn't explicitly say that it will be a Dolby Vision disc, but since it's a Dolby Vision cinema release it makes sense that the BD will also be enabled that way.

That's not necessarily so. Wasn't The Martian Dolby Vision in theaters? And what about Pan?

Dammit. I read it first on WhatHiFi but it seems they've mis-quoted the other article...

http://www.whathifi.com/news/despica...c-dolby-vision

"Other upcoming Dolby Vision discs include Baywatch, The Lego Ninjago Movie, Blade Runner 2049 and Ghost in the Shell."

I guess we'll still just have to wait and see!

Thanks for sharing. It does seem they are making assumptions. It's possible all those titles will be DV discs. But there have been no official studio announcements or confirmations of DV titles yet. Universal hasn't even officially confirmed Despicable Me yet.
