My two favorite movies are Aliens and The Big Lebowski. I watch both all the time but despite owning both on Blu-ray, I usually watch them on TV or via streaming. Just lazy I guess.

With a collection of 2,400 titles and climbing, I no longer have favorites I suppose there are a handful of movies I consider awesome in each of the genres I enjoy, but I rarely watch those films with any consistency anymore. I'd love to sit through Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Godfather or any of the Roger Moore bond films more often - I just don't have the time to revisit them much. Tell ya one thing, though - whenever I do pop one of these in it's still like heaven

Funnily enough, my favorite movies seem to get less viewings, and I watch/re-watch the ones I'm not familiar with enough because I keep forgetting about them or need to check them to see if I still want to keep them.

I know I've seen my top favorites at least a few times altogether--probably once every few years on average, or once a year at the most frequent.

Currently you have 776 blu-rays in your collection.
You really watch all of them each year ? That's a minimum of 2 blu-ray's a day, and then you have to keep up with the new stuff coming out......where do you find the time?

So ~200 movies each viewed twice a year. That's more movies than there are days in the year. How do you ever have time to watch new movies?

Good taste. These both are ones I revisit each year, as well as the whole Alien series. The Halloween movies every October. Star Wars, Battlestar Gallactica episodes (I've seen the pilot like ten times). And Game of Thrones I'm watching each season every year. I'm going through the series again, and I'm in Season 3. There are many others, but these are favorites.

This is actually why my Blu-ray collection is the way it is. I used to have like a 1,000, but I sold them off, and now I collect certain people or series, that I know I will watch over and over again (although I do make some mistake purchases).

Bits and pieces here and there. I also have a lot of free time at work.

I literally can pull up any of favorites in a matter of seconds uncompressed in their original HD presentation with lossless audio and subtitles. Within the next few months I will be able to do with with all of my collection. It would be nice if I didn't have to use discs or streaming at all.

I watch my Sergio Leone movies many times a year. I also watch Braveheart and Gladiator at least once a year. Every summer I watch Heavyweights with my sons, they love it so much.

There are maybe 10 movies I watch at least a couple times a year. Not always on BD though, sometimes it's via digital copy on a flight or something.

This is why, after 6 years of BD collecting, I am just over 200. I want to watch what I have. If I had 100's or 1,000's of movies I could never watch them all. I know a lot of people here say they want to own in case the mood strikes them to watch a film, but not me. My back catalog is nearly complete, and now I will focus on new releases that I want......that being said, I love to collect!!!!! My unwatched pile is only about 10....not bad.

I watch my favorites at least 3 times per year. And by favorites I mean my absolute can't live without favorites.

I only watch my favourites on blu ray. I literally cannot watch a movie on any other format if I own the blu.

Once, maybe twice a year for a select few. Last year, watched TFA and Deadpool a lot more being that they were relatively new.

Just started putting my favorite TV shows on another portable 5 TB drive last night. I am working on ST: TNG right now, which will run about 1.8 TBs for all 7 seasons. Then I should have enough space for the original series and The Twilight Zone.

Not often. I'm not that into rewatching stuff I'm familiar with. In fact, I watched Alien on Blu-ray only once, in 2016.

Not often. Maybe 2 times a year. I mainly have horror films that I watch around Halloween.

2 or 3 times a year. My all-time champ is RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. It's been my favorite flick since it came out in '81 (when I was ten); saw it seven times in theaters, then bought the VHS the day it came out in November '83 for $39.99 and proceeded to watch it about fifteen times or more in that first year of ownership. Transitioned to LaserDisc, then DVD, now Blu-ray.... still watch it multiple times per year, every single year, and never ever get sick of it. It's the only movie that I want to start watching again the moment the end credits roll.

Wow sorry for the extremely late response! Yes, I now have 841 movies in my collection and still watch them once a year with a select group of them quite a few times a year (just like steel_breeze's post above mine, one of those is the amazing Raiders of the Lost Ark). I do at least 2 movies a day (usually 1 before work and 1 after work but I'll try and get 1 before work and 2 after work) with more on my days off. I'm what you would call an extreme film enthusiast. Movies are my life. I'm also not married and don't have any kids so that definitely frees up my time. I also don't watch regular TV so my television viewing is strictly for movies (and an occasional series).
