Yeah, no kidding. This ought to be in the Wish List section at this point. Not only isn't there anything official, the "rumor" could be any number of titles.

The Scandinavian BD (which has been out for a couple of years now) is superb.

I hope it's Warlock (I don't care for The Unholy). If it is, I hope it's a Wishmaster-like set with all of the sequels.

It was out for 4 1/2 years until going out of print last summer. You'd be hard pressed to find it available now.

We might have been premature with this thread, but I swear it's never happened before

If Lionsgate worked a deal or fanangled away rights they could do a Children of the Corn collection with all current entries in the series. (this would be sweet).

They could also do a sequel collection for the Amityville films (4-?).

The Dentist 1 & 2.

I believe they have the Rights to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (which Is till think is coming later this year), Candyman Day of the Dead, 976-Evil 2, Ghoulies 3 (and 4), Slaughter High (if uncut film elements can be located), Dolly Dearest, The Decent 2, MAY, William Friedken's "Bug", Beyond Re-Animator, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, Silent Night Deadly Night 3 & 4 (And possibly part 2), Class of 1999, Little Monsters etc.

There is debate whether they still have access to Fright Night II, Raw Head Rex, Spookies, Necronomicon, Dagon, etc...

And there there are still the re-releases... Near Dark, The Saw Series (Remember Part 8 is still planned for later this year), The Leprechaun Series (No idea why they'd re-release this, but whatever) and so on and so fourth.

Lionsgate should re release under their Vestron line, My Bloody Valentine, Monster Squad, The Phantom, The Relic and others that have been out of print.

Lionsgate no longer have a license from Paramount to release those titles.

Ugh I hate multi packs. I hope they release it by itself like they did with Pulse.

I'd like to think that the odds are fairly good that this will happen.

Coming soon...

Via Anthony Hickox's instagram. This is for the 2 part, but obviously a proof that they will release the whole trilogy on Blu.

From my Cinema Arcana FB Page:

Ah, the joys of social media. We all knew it was coming, but noted raconteur and WAXWORK director Anthony Hickox recently snapped a photo of himself in a London recording studio, confirming he was chatting up franchise entry WARLOCK: THE ARMAGEDDON (1993) as a commentary track for an upcoming Lionsgate Blu-Ray. Given their Vestron Video line's recent modus operandi, this release will also presumably include the other series installments, Steve Miner's WARLOCK (1989) and Eric Freiser's WARLOCK III: THE END OF INNOCENCE (1999). For those who don't know, the first film follows Julian Sands as the eponymous magician, making his way from the 17th century to modern day L.A. where he seeks out a Satanic tome to end civilization as we know it. Hickox's sequel finds him attempting to gather some sacred rune stones, much to the chagrin of some Druid kids. The final Sands-less installment finds the wizard hoping to sacrifice a witch's descendant to bring about the apocalypse. Gory, imaginative and so much better than most '90s dreck, these VHS faves deserve an HD upgrade; let's hope for the best! Obviously, no word on other extras at this point, but Steve Miner's certainly made himself available for other recent documentaries. Based on the company's usual turnaround, I would probably expect to see this one hit shelves the end of August. Watch this space for updates!

Personally, I'm waiting for them to finish running through their mainstream horror franchises so they can start bringing out the deeper catalog stuff. I think Warlock is the last of 'em although I wouldn't mind a Dentist double feature.

Hickox also misspelled armageddon (why is this site telling me that I misspelled it too?) Give the man a break though, he probably chicken-pecked those hashtags out on his phone like the rest of us old fogeys do, squinting and muttering to himself all the while.

Warlock 3 pack is AWESOME, Dentist double feature is even more exciting in my opinion. I felt like Warlock was inevitable, The Dentist is a luxury. Hoping for both but as of now Warlock is more than enough to satisfy me

Hmmm I own the Aussie blu-ray of the first Warlock and the German mediabook of the second. Generally the discs I have will be a better encode....hmm what to do now. Hope it doesn't end up like Wishmaster.
