That is a good enough reason for me! Your words convinced me that I needed to part with good money in order to get one of my all-time favorite HK films.

I placed my pre-order today after debating whether I can afford this or not. $93.81 was what it cost me for the movie and shipping. I knew I would regret it if I didn't get it; and even if I did.

But, I would rather be broke and have one of my favorite 90`s HK films than to run the risk of not getting it. And, this might be the only chance to get it.

And, the eBay seller has limited quantities now and has sold 59%. This is going to sell out quicker than even what I thought it would. I am curious to see where most of their sales originate from.

I will say one thing, HK cinema knows how to kick my ass! With no warning, this came out of the blue. Side-kicked my wallet and will probably break my back! My mind is still blown that after all these years of waiting and giving up hope that it would be released on blu-ray, that it is finally here. I really hope that this turns out to be something really nice and not a waste of money. Fingers will be crossed until it arrives! I am glad that I pre-ordered but the wait is going to kill me.

Correct, and it's PAL fyi. If you count non-English subtitled, though, the German DVD is the best both in picture and sound.

Looks like "Type A" might have sold out. It's no longer listed on Ebay (though the seller has two separate listings for "Type B.")

Update: "Type A" is back up on Ebay. They probably just mistakenly listed "Type B" twice.

I was the same. It's a steep price but I just knew that I would hate myself for passing up on this one so I pulled the trigger.

The master HK provided has some errors in a few frames and some hiss problems in the audio, so Diskino sent the master to do some more restoration to fix the problems. The overall picture quality is good, so don't worry.

Ok. Well, hopefully everything gets worked out and this is released soon enough. But, to have the movie looking as good as it can is the best option. With the amount of money that we are paying for this, I want it to look as good as it possibly can. Great subs and original theatrical soundtrack also.

I hope they don't go nuts with noise reduction. That can be worse than hiss.

Anyone else have trouble ordering on Taobao? I have an account but every time I get to the checkout page, I get the little loading head and it never goes away. So I can't enter any addresses and proceed.

I also tried sending a message on ebay about shipping but they're yet to get back to me. For others who purchased through ebay, how long did they take to get back to you on shipping?

I e-mailed my seller last week but he never got back to me. Will try again today.

Previously, there were some technical errors and the release date has been pushed back. I wonder now if it has been cancelled or just further delayed. There has not been any contact from anyone regarding this issue. I don't want to rush to cancel my order but I don't want it to linger on past the point that I am out the money I paid with no option of reimbursement.

As far as info regarding shipping when ordering from eBay, the response was within a day or so.

The lack of response from the seller on ebay, as well as not being able to purchase it on Taobao now, I am wondering the same thing. Hopefully not! I will too try and contact the seller again on ebay. Thanks for the heads up!

Yikes. Please post what you find out. I know you're protected under Ebay, but I don't know what the time frame is for them to pull the plug on you being protected, either. Clearly, the people who are making the disc monitor this board. I wish they'd let us know the ship date.
