If this looks like their 4K restoration of 'Night of the Living Dead' this is gonna look sweet!

Despite this being my least favorite entry in the series, I'll likely pick this up as well. I really enjoy the trilogy steelbook so this will accompany that.

I still only have this on DVD so & I liked it enough to upgrade now to the Arrow release.

I have all 3 Basket Case films already as well as the trilogy steelbook. I love this series, and will happily upgrade. Day 1. I'm thinking about going for the Diabolik exclusive. I did that on Brain Damage as well. I love most of Frank Henlotter's film's.

Pre-ordered from Diabolik. It's all good!

I'm reading Joe Bob Goes to the Drive-In by Joe Bob Briggs (John Bloom) right now, and he raves about this film.

I hope you noticed that he's in the bonus features, I thought of you and our conversation from a week or two back when I saw that.

I'm confused is the LE Pin badge edition exclusive to Diabolik or will a standard version also be available via Amazon ??

Pretty sure it's just included in the package from Diabolik.

I'll sell you mine later on if you want one and don't want to order from Diabolik to get it.

I may just cancel this when the time comes. Looking back at new scans compared with image Entertainment ones released in the past and image Entertainment always did a great job with transfers.. labyrinth, creepshow 2, and basket case all look great and none of them needed to be upgraded in my opinion. How many times can you upgrade a picture without altering the original color scheme? With some of these new scans it’s like watching a whole different movie...

So will they just be releasing a limited edition at first that'll eventually go OOP and be replaced with a standard version later on?

MoMA is doing this, so they won't be adding revisionist colors.

Wow! Basket Case scanned in 4k? You really can't polish a turd, can you?
All joking aside. I do enjoy this movie. It's a fun piece of crap. I'm content with the Image Entertainment copy I picked up for $8.50 a year ago, though. To my eyes, it looks great for such a low budget movie, and the price was right.

The price will doubtless drop further, but this will be $25.10 ($23.84 with topcashback factored on) from DD during their next sale.
