Yes, Nintendo. Put a never-before-released game on a niche product that will completely sell out (to flippers-- not customers, mind you) in 5 minutes. But don't worry Switch owners, we'll get Virtual Console... sometime... in 2018... or y'know, whenever they feel like adding something (anything!!) to the eshop.

Can't wait for the first VC title to be Urban Champion.

What kills me is why they waited after E3 to announce it,it doesnt make any sense. Plus,its coming very fast compared to nes classic,end of september.

I will be at Nintendo of America with torches in hand if I'm not able to secure one of these (and I'm sure I won't be the only one) I already have a Raspberry Pi but SNES is my favorite system of all time. Out of the box, it already has almost every major SNES game I could have wanted, the only major one missing is Chrono Trigger, but it has Final Fantasy VI/III, which is my favorite game of all time so I'm set. Please don't screw this release up Nintendo.

bc they used E3 to focus on Switch. Announcing this then would take the Switch's thunder away and draw even more attention to the fact that the Virtual Console is MIA. Plus, I expect this to be a limited release like the NES Classic so they probably dont want to give it too much focus bc it will sell out

I'm really interested to see how this Starfox 2 differs from the work in progress rom that's been floating around. With Nintendo's attention to detail there's no way they're releasing this unless it's been finished completely. I'm looking forward to the eventual rom dump since I highly anticipate them to handle this just like the NES mini.

Two controllers will be included in the box, but you'll need an AC adaptor to use its USB plug.

For Star Fox 2, never released before anywhere, you'll need to complete the first level of the original Star Fox to unlock the game.

What would stop a person in the US from being able to use the UK one? I'm assuming with HDMI out these don't run PAL, plus the system just looks so much better than ours.

I don't think anything would but GAME doesn't ship to the US so that's one little hiccup right there.

Edit: GAME actually does ship to the US, I must have been thinking of somewhere else (possibly HMV)

I've been on there for 15 mins trying to log in. sites a POS and so is GAME as a company. Hopefully Amazon will have their link up soon.

Power supply will probably be the only thing you'd need to sort out. If it's universal voltage then you just need to get one of those crazy two pronged plugs!

If you’re in Europe, there’s even more reason to be excited about the SNES Classic Edition because you’ll be getting a version of the console styled after the original Japanese Super Famicom, with a curvier design and rainbow action buttons on the controllers.

Ummmmm.....if I'm not mistaken the NA was the only one that got the ugly design so it should not be a surprise that the UK version looks as it's supposed to.
