I for one was grateful to see Starcrash getting an entertainment upgrade with MST3k. I love the idea of a crazy sci-fi epic starring the infamous Marjoe but it didn't work for me before Jonah and the bots got to it!

I just added Wheels of Fire, The Sisterhood, and Equalizer 2000 to the “Films Distributed by Roger Corman” category.
I've tried to include the best available Region A Blu-ray of every Roger Corman movie, but it would be rather unwieldy to include each and every edition of every movie with Corman involvement, since many of the movies in my initial post have multiple Blu-ray re-releases. |

I just added The Nest (1988) to the first post, since it was produced by Julie Corman and released under Corman's Concorde Pictures.
I may get a chance to update this thread with vigor if Scream Factory starts re-releasing Corman material after their latest deal. Last edited by The Great Owl; 03-23-2018 at 01:55 PM. |

Roger Corman gets a lot of credit for his influence on other filmmakers. With good reason, the amount of talent he gave opportunities to is astonishing. Coppola, Scorsese, Bogdanovich, etc. It's incredible, yes, but this notion tends to overshadow the man's own films. He's no slouch. I think he's underrated. I'd like to see a full scale retrospective of his work at some theatre like Lincoln Center or MoMa. A Corman retrospective could be off-the-charts amazing and it would invite others to re-evaluate the man's own impressive body of work.
Just think, 35mm prints or DCP's of: Machine Gun Kelly (Charles Bronson's first(?) starring role) The Intruder (Corman gets socially conscious... with Shatner!) A Bucket Of Blood (Dick Miller becomes an instant icon) House Of Usher (Vincent Price, nuff said) X: The Man With X-Ray Eyes (outstanding sci-fi) The Trip (groovy, far out maaaaan) I could go on. Then sweeten the deal with a sidebar of films he produced like Death Race 2000, Humanoids From The Deep, Rock And Roll High School, Hollywood Boulevard and more. I say lets give the man his due while he's still here. Just my two cents on this lazy Sunday. |

I added Munchies/Munchie to the list of films produced by Roger Corman.
I added Stryker to the list of films distributed by Roger Corman. It's sort of a pain to make that distinction, but, if I see that a film does not overtly list Corman as a producer on the Internet Movie Database, but that the film was distributed by his New World Pictures, then I put it into the distributed list. (Even though Corman was quite hands-on with a lot of films of which he is merely listed as a distributor.) The films are out of chronological or alphabetical order in the first post, simply because it would be a pain to re-organize the first post each time. I just add them as they are released or brought to my attention. |

Terrific idea for a blu-ray checklist thread Great Owl.
Roger Corman is one of my heroes. Arrow in the U.K. released superior transfers of the Poe-Price films. I recommend them. May I suggest you enhance your collection with How I Made a Hundred Movies in Hollywood and Never Lost a Dime by Roger Corman Roger Corman Interviews Mind Warp: The Fantastic True Story of Roger Corman's New World Pictures Flying Through Hollywood By the Seat of My Pants by Sam Arkoff |
