The thing I wasn't expecting before I tried it, which sounds silly now, was the scale of things. You can watch a VR clip and it looks dull, but when you're actually inside the game, whole different experience. Everything is life size.

That's why I changed my mind over Skyrim. This has the potential to be amazing.

This video confirms by a producer that game is full game and will have full movement. I can't believe its happening!

If it's just a phone VR bear in mind the PS VR is much much better.
Yeah, PS4 VR will definitely be more immersive and I've read it's solid but at the dame time it's a tech right at its infancy and as such also has some issues. I'm not saying I don't wouldn't enjoy having a play around on it, but I couldn't justify the present cost for such a niche product that wouldn't get used by me as much. If the tech was more advanced in the future and addressed the current issues, I could more justify owning it. Plus you'd have devs with better experience of crafting VR experiences at that level with 4K HDR in VR.

I am excited by the potential for sure, but not enough at present to jump in. Unless I won the lotto lol

All I can say is PS 4 VR is pretty amazing for a first run. The phone vr out there is not even close. I seriously can't recommend it enough. Skyrim should be the ultimate immersion experience and bodes well what the future holds.

Even if it only lasts for another two years (I think it will be ok) it was worth every penny. I will never forget the first time I tried it and the whole of RE! Awesome.

Thanks for the link. Good to hear some details from the developer relating to the VR controls, User Interface UI.

I can only imagine doing the telekinesis fast travel glitch to level up fast and me doing a header through my TV. I do wonder how mods (if even able to use) would work on PS VR.

That's what you get for using glitches to level up!

This was the video of Skyrim VR that I found before, where it shows the teleporting. The player was still trying to figure out the controls.

If we can use the dual shock PS4 controller, that's good enough for me, though I do see the immersion with the glow sticks. I know for certain I will not be using the teleport button.

I'm probably in the minority, but I don't like using the move controllers in VR. I just want to be immersed in the game and use the normal dual shock. The move controllers are just not natural to me and very limiting.

I found it to be the complete opposite lol. Are you getting the Aim controller? It feels great in use.

I can see using that for shooters, I definitely want to get that with Farpoint. That's one of my next pick ups.

Thanks. Do most PSVR games allow for the regular controller, or are some restricted to the move sticks only?

In theory, most vr games allow you to use either. Games like Arkham VR, Rush of Blood are more playable using the motion controllers. Resident Evil 7 seems like the normal dual shock works better.

I think playing Skyrim will have wildly different experiences depending on what you use. I personally just want to sit back and use the normal controller. Maybe from time to time I'll break out the move controllers and get my sword fighting on.

Thanks Anthos. Okay, that's good to hear. I rather just have the regular controller to move around, and that would hopefully erase the need to teleport if I was using the sticks. I was watching that guy teleport down the steps and it looked strange, like something was wrong with the camera. I'm glad they kept the option to walk normally. He was also trying to use his bow and arrow against some feral dogs, but he couldn't figure it out.

I'm guessing this will have the updated graphics, but not sure if it'll include all of the DLC from the original.

has all dlc... Most people prefer full movement. I wont buy something that can only teleport around.

When I first played Arkham VR, my breath was taken away when I stood high above Gotham City. What killed it for me was the teleportation. If I could get an Arkham City full game using normal movement, wow! Skyrim will make full use of the normal movement through dual shock which makes me supremely happy.

Agreed with Batman. It was fine at the time, when most games felt like demos, but I think we are getting past that.

I am going to be awkward and say I thought that system worked fine for that particular game.
