Did he make one single good movie? Cause everything I've seen yet (King Arthur, Tears of the Sun and Magnificent Seven remake) just sucked.

Kraven is ultracool as a character but not as a stand alone. This is exactly why I wanted Venom to underperform. Sends Sony all the wrong messages. Piecemeal Spider-Universe crap is just that...CRAP.

I disagree.

U can write a great character story without referencing the host universe.

Blade didnt need Dracula for his debut film.

Were at a time where film goers dont need a direct connection for a well written story to convey who or what they stand for.

What if u bulit up three villains in their own one shot comic and then slotted them into a trilogy for the hero’s arc???

Magneto could have had a 2 hour backstory first and then casted as the X-Villain vs having his/her arc woven into the heroes arc in steady increments.

Any movie studios that are being ORIGINAL such as making a movie from an antagonist perspective is UNIQUE, especially if it doesnt include their hero nemesis. Especially unique if they can make entertaining movie visions revolved around the obstacle of legally not being able to use their main heroes (Spiderman) in their movies.

Sony can legally use Spider-Man in any movie they want, they forever own the film rights to the character. I think they choose to make these spin-off things without a Spider-Man character in them to prevent confusion between their Spider-Verse films and the MCU stuff.

Shooter, The Equalizer, and Olympus Has Fallen are all enjoyable popcorn action movies.
