Let's just agree 2012 was a good year for movies.

Hurt is better than ZDT...did I do this right ? Do I win the game ? It's all subjective. I really thought ZDT was boring the first time I watched it.

I also didn't care much for ZDT when I saw it first, and I still think it's kinda overrated. The last hour or so is really incredible, but everything leading up to it is just OK. Not at all bad, just can't really get excited about it.

Hurt Locker rules. I hope there's a UHD announcement for that coming soon, although I wonder how good it could possibly look since most/all of it was shot on 16mm IIRC.

Please don't tell me I slept for a few months and it's Academy Awards time...talk about waking up to a nightmare!

We all like what we like. Why the need for lists and this is better than that?
As Yoda would say: just like or like not.

Anyone catch the Howard Stern interview from yesterday? He interviewed the SEAL who took out bin Laden. He currently has a book out but it was a pretty interesting interview.

I didn't even realize that Best Buy had started taking preorders for this. I wouldn't worry... it's likely just Best Buy being Best Buy.

Sigh, maybe in a few days (or weeks).

What are the chances this starts selling at $19.99? Don't 4Ks usually start off at $29.99?

Only Warner likes to do $30 catalog titles. Sony is more like $22.99.

The Fifth Element and Leon: the Professional hovered between $17.99 and $22.99 in the weeks after their release. So I'd say the chances of a $19.99 starting price for ZDT are good.

4K catalogue releases from a couple of studios are $17-$22 at release. Warner Bros. is the only studio sticking with $30 for all 4K releases IIRC.

Yeah all Warner Bros. titles used to release at $32 and they probably don't allow the price to drop.

Eager for Black Friday; last year BestBuy had all 4K discs for $17 each (even new-at-the-time WB titles like Jupiter Ascending) and I figure they'll do something similar this year.

maybe they will include a nonexistent Bin Laden death pic with the 4k release... I like Bigelow and I admire the attention to detail in ZDT (as far as what we were told by our government and mainstream media) but I kinda wish she didn't do this movie because it further pushes the u.s. governments agenda and most people who see it will take it as truth and I have my doubts about that, the real terrorists are on our own land
