Titles like King Of The Kickboxers, Death Match, Enter The Shootfigher etc would be brilliant.

Any slashers would also be welcomed

We're sticking to 70's, 80's and 90's US stuff for now. But I'm open to anything.

Actually, we have some movies with "kickboxing" in the pipeline. Stay tuned.

Hey MVD Rewind Guy, I know you said you're going to be focusing on all kinds of different genres and not just horror but I have 1 request if possible.

It seems like all other labels are afraid to release this one or don't care to release it. Maybe you guys could? Clownhouse (1989) it's with MGM but since they would never release it themselves maybe they would be willing to license it out? I've asked Bill at Code Red and he said that he can't get MGM to talk to him about any of their titles so that's a no go, Scream Factory has stated before that they refuse to release it. And it doesent look like any other label will. So I was hoping maybe you guys would be ballsy enough to do it? Would love to see this get a release, even a limited to 1,000 or something release would be great.

Hey MVD, Looking forward to a whole range of titles from you guys and glad that your releases will span the genres. Are there any studios you're working with? For instance, Olive works with Paramount, Kino with MGM, Shout with Universal, etc. Would love some obscure Anthony Perkins flicks, if possible! Random I know but hey, it's worth a shot! Good luck on this endeavor!

Don't think MGM owns it anymore. I remember when the rights expired. As you know, the film comes with a lot of history and baggage, and rightfully so, given what transpired.

I think your first instinct is right (probably afraid). I'll let one of the other companies chase this one.

Thank you for the kind words. We did complete an licensing deal with an independent studio from way back when (titles from this catalog will be announced soon) and we're currently not aligned with a studio... yet.

MVD.

Just want to say how excited I am to see another label releasing classic content on bluray.
I've honestly been wanting an HD version of Killer Tomatoes for quite some time. Can't wait to see it in widescreen.

I'm very excited to see all the other things that are in the pipeline. I wish you guys the best of luck and hope you do well so more and more things can come out.

Also, hopefully you can one day get a studio deal. There are a TON of untapped films out there. While many labels have dipped into the MGM pond, there are actually still a number of great 70's, 80's and 90's titles that have yet to see the light of day on dvd let alone bluray.

Both of your releases sound amazing and it's great to know that you guys are putting a ton of effort into these.

Keep up the great work!

-Mark

Oh that's interesting... I wonder who owns it now then?

I like you guys already! Thank You. Have already Pre-ordered the first 2 releases and it sounds as if I will be purchasing more.

Sidekicks would make a great release. Keep bringing on the 70s, 80s and 90s titles and you will have my money for sure.

So many unreleased titles from the video store days, it is criminal. Hopefully you guys can correct that.

I would also buy the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes cartoon if you're able to release it. I used to watch the hell out of it when it aired Saturday mornings. I don't know if Fox still owns the other 2 Attack of the Killer Tomatoes sequels but I would be down for blu-ray releases of those also if possible.

I'm really excited by this new label and the releases encompassing multiple genres, especially certain genres that have been seriously neglected on blu-ray. Is MVD Rewind going to have a certain number of titles released every month or two or will releases be more sporadic?

Does anyone know if the music rights are still holding up Valley Girl? I love that movie. I can't believe it still isn't available on Blu-ray.

I think so, last I heard anyway. I wonder which bands/musicians specifically are holding up a release?

Not having Valley Girl on Blu-ray is brutal. I can't believe it's not in the Shout Select line by now.

MGM owns Valley Girl (which I think everyone knows at this point). We don't have a deal with MGM. Sorry.

I have no idea what the rights are, but Get Crazy is a movie I would love to see released on this line. And then MVD could release the soundtrack too! It's got songs by Ramones and FEAR that have never been released on CD.

Cut and pasted from the IMDb:

"Originally, Men At Work's "Who Can It Be Now?" was played during the scene where Randy climbs into the upstairs bathroom through the window and hides in the shower, hoping that Julie will eventually come into the bathroom. In the Special Edition DVD, "Shelley's Boyfriend" by Bonnie Hayes and the Wild Combo continues playing from the previous scene, replacing the Men At Work tune."

There might be additional minor cuts, but this is the big one.

May I ask, who do you guys have a deal with?

Titles previously released by Rhino?
