Triangle (2009)

watched it three times back to back to back

had hundreds of post it notes all over the living room trying to unravel the plot

changed my location to "Club Loop"

lost many nights of sleep

sacrificed a few jobs and relationships - priorities!

When I first saw Goodfellas in it's original run, it's the only time before or since that I wanted to see the same movie again that very day. I didn't see it again that day but a few days later I was back at the theatre watching it for the second time. I probably saw it at least a half dozen times in the first run. I even caught the last show on a Thursday night before the film was pulled from theatres to make room for the Friday new releases.

La La Land was the first film I went to see in theaters alone.
I wanted to see it again immediately.

Koyaanisqatsi is the only movie where I watched it once, then replayed it the moment it ended. Probably because when I saw the ending titles that explained everything, I just had to watch the film again to understand it more. But even after those initial viewings, I still rewatch the film regularly and it feels fresh every time.

Most others films, I can stand some distance between viewings. But I got to admit that I did get excited enough to rewatch these really quickly after seeing them for the first time:
  • Blade Runner 2049
  • Breaking the Waves
  • Dancer in the Dark
  • The Dark Knight
  • Donnie Darko
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Iron Man
  • The Kid
  • Kingsman: The Secret Service
  • Logan
  • Lucy
  • Mad Max: Fury Road
  • The Passion of Joan of Arc
  • Snowpiercer
  • Star Trek (2009)
  • Sucker Punch
  • Wanted

Odd answer, but Prince of Egypt. That film is a masterpiece. Nice story, and you could screencap virtually any frame and hang it up on your wall; the animation is beautiful. I've watched it a few times consecutively, on more than one occasion.

Several over the years but most recently: Ghost in the Shell. Never saw any of the cartoons, knew nothing about any of it. Blind bought the movie cheap on Black Friday and enjoyed the living heck out of it. Watched it a second time about 4 hours later

More recently for me Blade Runner 2049, first movie I've seen more than once at the cinema since the 90s.
