This is an interesting one. For one, Evans can probably shoot this on a very modest budget. This doesn't need CGI monstrosities trying to take over the world (then again, neither did SS), and should probably be kind of low key. Bet they could get it done at a 50-60 million mark, which would mean they can take more risks with it. Really hoping it turns out good, as The Raid films are seriously well-made action pieces.

Agreed, there is no reason why this film needs to be overly expensive, especially when films like John Wick 1 & 2 and Atomic Blonde can be made in the 20-40 million range.

Hopefully WB/DC agrees that not every film in the DCEU needs to be a 150M plus CG spectacle. Deathstroke, Gotham City Sirens, Nightwing, and Batgirl (assuming that's still happening) could all be made on a modest budget.

I'm hoping the studio sees the Whedon backlash with Justice League and stops his Batgirl film in its tracks.

God I hope so. I love Babs, I do, but she deserves a real film. She hasn't been set up, affleck likely won't appear cause he's not interested, and whedon is the WRONG writer for the movie.

lol, that doesn't mean anything. The mods thought I spoiled Thor: Ragnarok when I said Hela is Loki's daughter. That's like saying, Jesus Christ being the son of God is a spoiler.

The film will begin with a hilarious scene in which Barbara winds up with a thug faceplanting her boobs.

Is that fake? I only ask as those two names above the title don't seem like the kind of names that a studio would boast about getting.

Joe Manganiello Teases Surprising New Deathstroke Plans After Advice From James Gunn (Exclusive)
DC had ideas for Manganiello's Deathstroke, but it seems like that window has closed.

https://comicbook.com/movies/news/jo...unn-exclusive/

Quote:
"James [Gunn] is my buddy, and James and I had a conversation about it because Jim lee over at DC Comics wanted me to create a graphic novel series based on the screenplay that I wrote for the Deathstroke origin film that, when they were dismantling the DCEU, that went to the wayside as well," Manganiello said. "Jim read it, and wanted it to be a graphic novel series, but no one could assure me that, if it garnered the attention of directors and producers, that I couldn't be attached. So I had to let it go. James Gunn was just like, 'Let it go.'"
