If it's HD on MyUV, it won't upgrade to 4K on VUDU. FandangoNow added a 4K copy to my UV account. If your code came from a 4K disc, it's time to contact Universal and get them to give you a new code. I have had THREE 4K codes incorrectly redeem in HD on FandangoNow. |

Sure my main display is great but if my wife is sick in bed I can use the Roku to stream things she likes. I do travel for work so I hook up my work laptop via HDMI on the road to the hotel screen and watch. I'm at about 108 now, more left to redeem. Specifically why I came, to make sure I redeem my remaining 4k titles in UHD. |

A Sony title that I tried which specifically said it was UV was rejected until I tried from the SONY site, and that too launched the Movies Anywhere site for Redeem. So things are changing. |

Is everybody else's head spinning trying to figure this all out haha....
I worry that if I start redeeming my UHD codes now, that I will not receive the UHD version. I almost feel like I should just hold tight for a little bit, and wait for all the players figure this game out. ![]() |

When people talk about HDX versions being upgraded to UHD... do they mean they entered codes from a 4k movie that originally redeemed in just HDX but then later were automatically upgraded to UHD once they became available from the retailer?

I'm starting to get better at it. I use VUDU as my primary library/program. If it doesn't not redeem UHD there I see if it will anywhere else. If just iTunes I pass. If Movies Anywhere then I am sort of handcuffed because they do not have an app for Xbox. Soemtimes MA will also share UHD with google play which I can access. If no code will redeem in UHD I hold out for an inexpensive copy on disc.

Fox 4K titles only have HD codes, but redeeming said titles in iTunes adds 4K to your MA account (provided iTunes has the title in 4K, most of which they do). It does the same with HD codes from 1080p Blu-rays from both FOX and Universal.
If Movies Anywhere, the titles would port to VUDU, Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play. Amazon for instance has most (all?) Sony releases in UHD, which you would also have on the Xbox (assuming you have an Xbox One S/X). |

I do, so if I redeem a 4k code that the spreadsheet claims is only redeemed UHD on MA then it will also share a UHD version to my google play AND amazon video accounts?
I use google play to display from the smart tv home, I imagine amazon video would be the same. For the iTunes, if it adds the 4k to the MA then it would also add them to both GP and AV? Thanks! |

Most all of Amazon's UHD titles for purchase are Sony titles for instance. So (non Sony) titles will port to Amazon as HD, even though 4K is in your locker. Quote:

There are bugs though. If you already have the title in HD on VUDU, it won't be overwritten by a 4K version for some reason. I'm hoping that will be straightened out soon. |

Silly question, but I'm told the dumbest questions are the ones not asked.
I got MA on the Sony TV via the Google play store. How can I tell on MA which resolution copy I own? Vudu says you have UHD or you have HDX. Is there something that specifically says what resolution I have when looking at my library on MA? |

If you have the MA mobile app, there is a transaction section which shows you the resolution you redeemed. However, it currently has some bugs, because if you have owned the title in lower resolutions in the past, the transaction will only show the storefront, resolution, and redemption date of the first transaction, not the newer info. For instance, I own a HD UV copies of "Man Of Steel" from the 3D Blu-ray. I also own a 4K UV copy from the 4K Blu-ray. My transaction history shows I own HD from the 3D Blu-ray, yet MA ported my 4K copy from VUDU to iTunes, etc. I also own multiple HD titles that I originally had SD copies of, yet my transaction history lists the information for the SD transaction. |
