I don't have the 4K edition but the regular slip is very similar to original Rise of the Planet of the Apes slip. The texture is very smooth and there is certain spots of the slip which has gloss. The title is glossy. I think it's really nice.

Thanks, good to know before tomorrow. I appreciate the fact that Fox is slowly eliminating the blue banner on the top. For this release, the standard cover looks just wonderful. As I said before, I'll compare both in-store in the morning and make my decision.

**NP13** Multi region is a good investment, it means you can just buy a DVD/ Blu and not have to worry. The cost is a one off, just keep away from Sony. Dennon, and possibly Marantz used to be easy and cheap, three USB sticks, one for each region. Hopefully an owner can confirm if this works with more recent players.

I would never use "twee" to describe this movie -- it's far too dismissive of a tough subject that is handled in a darkly comic manner (part of the time). But I guess it works for some and doesn't for others, and it captured me completely.

Are most of these blu-ray.com review for US discs, or could they be for international disc as well? Love when they have so many subtitles available. Should be like this for all disc!

In the search bar, you can select country flags, which filters Blu-ray reviews by country. UK, Germany and France are the popular reviewed foreign discs.

When a US disc comes with a ton of subs, see it as a nice bonus. Normally it's just English, Spanish and French on US releases, and could be possibly locked. But this also dependsby the studio.

It has been divisive at any rate. Some of my friends hated it and found it to be very negative as well as racist.... I am in the complete opposite of thinking. But, I am from the south and lived in Missouri for a short while so I can relate to hearing people and cops specifically use that type of language.

I thought the dialogue was jarring and the humor unfunny at times, but I enjoyed it for the most part. The flashback scene with the

has got to be one of the worst scenes in a Best Picture nominee, though.

What I liked about this movie is that it really didn't fit into any cozy genre box. It was a drama. It was a black comedy. It was a thriller. Some people have even called it a neo-noir, but I never really saw that. The dialogue was very sharply-written, even if nobody really talks like these characters. There was probably a bit too much profanity. The film also doesn't seem to give a damn if you like it or not, and seems very proud of what it is, for better or worse.

Also, my aunt says her fiance's dad was an extra in this, but I think it was in a deleted scene (she says it was a scene at a jail with Sam and Woody).
