Yes, I saw that. But as I said, at least one user listed a short film, and the one in charge hasn't said anything about it yet, so I thought it could be important to clear that up.

I see many people asking what qualifies as a comedy.

I thought it said in the original post that if the IMDb lists it as a comedy then it qualifies.

For that reason I cut Diggstown from my shortlist.

The rule is in the opening post and couldn't be more clear. I don't know all the titles that came by so far and will check if valid in time. No mini-series, no shorts.

Interesting so far. I thought the most obvious and well known comedies would dominate these voting lists completely, but so far that's not the case at all.

Great satire, indeed. This seems to be a forgotten treasure in the genre.

His team up and movies with J-Law just don't interest me at all but David O. Russell has a lot of talent. Great gif!

Aki Kaurismäki is pretty great. Anyone who likes Jim Jarmusch will probably like him. Unfortunately, I don't think I've seen any of his 90s movies. Guy Maddin's Careful is one of the more hysterically bizarre movie experiences I've had. It'll be making my list too.

Toy Story? Hmm. I've never seen it as a comedy. Even as a kid, I thought it was surprisingly serious. But it does remind me of the fact I forgot Aladdin in my list, I laughed my ass of with that one!

Well, it can be poignant, but it spends more time being funny. I don't even need to quote lines, I can just list characters: Rex, Hamm, Potato Head, Slinky Dog. Almost everything they say or do is comedy.

That said, I'm not very good at classifying by genre and I've got a few movies I'm not sure about. A lot of movies I like have a little bit of everything.

The IMDb classes Toy Story as a comedy so you're alright.

All this confusion...? It's not hard to check the IMDb. Took me 15 seconds.
