IS BP even that good? It didn't look very good and I'm waiting for March 6th to doan all day marathon to see any further movies in theaters.

I mean THOR 3 got huge praises too, and that movie wasn't anything special imo.

I guess I'll know in about 2 weeks.

It’s easily my favorite MCU movie. Seeing it again soon.

Would I say there is some hyperbole in the reviews and wouldn't put it among the very top superhero movies (which for me is the likes of Logan, Nolan's Batman, Donner's Superman) yes.

But it's really good and one of the best MCU movies, and I'm someone who was pretty underwhelmed with Ragarnok (honestly didn't think it was any better than the previous two entertaining but forgettable Thor movies).

Ragnarok was a little too comedy heavy for my liking, whereas BP finds the right balance between drama and comedy, plus the humor works AND fits like a glove everywhere it’s utilized, nowhere near the quip-filled stuff we’ve seen in recent MCU movies, even the darker ones like Doctor Strange.

And yes, this one deserves even more praise than Ragnarok, as well as Wonder Woman (that one arguably had the bigger statement to make, but I felt it faltered in spots) IMO.

I have Black Panther listed in my Top Five of the MCU.

Are there exaggerated claims about its excellence? Of course. But that by no means devalues it of how entertaining and good of a movie it is. I thought it was profoundly moving. It was deeply emotional, I cried.

The humor worked so well in this. I never cringe or thought it didn't with the movie.
[Show spoiler]I love when the car is blown up by Klaue and Naki is sliding down the street in the car seat.

No need to feign surprise if it does 180 plus, especially over 3 days. That would be genuine. Anybody claiming otherwise is the one doing all the feigning.

That got tons of laughter at my screening. Probably the best joke with the most laughs was by

Probably lowballing the Monday estimate, too. Tomorrow is President's Day in the US, a holiday for most schools, banks & government offices. With this kind of weekend launch, all the hype people will be seeing about it, and all those kids out of school, that Monday number is gonna be huge.

Guardians 2 has $389.8M domestic. Can Jumanji pass it? Or will it's early digital release (2 weeks from now) and blu release (4 weeks from now) stop it?
Will happen.

I'm not as sure about the digital release, but yes the physical release will cut into box office, almost wish Sony delayed that like Fox did with Greatest Showman as it is great to see the amazing holds these films have had.
Won't happen.

Jumanji's success still perplexes me. It was fun but man, not that much,

The better question is has there been any superhero movie that got huge praises and good reviews that you ever agreed with?

Even bigger, it has a chance of beating Avengers (just a few million ahead of Last Jedi) to be the top superhero movie domestically.

I knew Black Panther would be bigger than predictions, but I didn't think it would be this huge. Amazing! I don't see much competition for it in the next few weeks, so it should have good legs.
