Not just the phone, Divine's eye color, robe, wallpaper. The other screenshots look fine to me. I've seen this film at least half a dozen times. I don't remember Divine's robe being that greenish.

That turquoise green is totally in keeping with Vincent Peranio's 50s design sense. The bottom is how the film was shot. The top looks like a day for night filter applied over the top.

It is a director approved edition so I have no worries about how it looks.

I am, however, concerned about how it will smell.

Does anyone know if we will be able to purchase additional scratch and sniff cards? What good is one card when you might want to have future screenings, with friends, ect.

It should hold up for a while, and you can always pass it around. My issue is more long-term use, and I'd love to buy some additional sealed cards for years down the road. Although I can tell you that at least one smell from the DVD card holds up. I don't remember which one it was -- I'm guessing fart or skunk -- but when I checked it upon hearing about the blu-ray release, it was so disgusting that I immediately put it away and forgot to check the other smells.

I would recommend picking up one of these to help seal and secure cards for the future: https://www.foodsaver.com/ . Make sure have something stronger than just the card to ensure it doesn't get crushed when sucking out the air.

Thanks -- good idea! Maybe a bit pricey though since I probably wouldn't use it for anything else. I'm going to look around and see if I can find anything on sale. I wonder if there are any regular plastic baggies that are know for good long-term storage.

I've got one I use for cooking -- especially good in winter when making big pots of chili. There's also a jar adapter that's helpful too. But, getting back to movies... haha!

I've been using these for reusability.

https://ziptop.com/

I like them so far, but they wouldn't fit in a blu-ray case. I just did a bit of quick online research and saw some indications that plastic bags still have some permeability. I wonder if that would be an issue even with a vacuum seal. I guess there's no getting around that though. Even if we can buy extras, they'd likely be sealed in plastic.

It doesn't matter what you do, the cards go bad after a couple of years.

Word of warning, whatever lacquer used in manufacturing to seal the Odorama card is very potent and has embed itself into every inch of the case's internals. If it's not that its the odors themselves. I'm not the only one with fragrance sensitivities so just tossing that out there. If it bothers you I recommend letting the entire thing de-gas; card, booklet, disc, and case.

I figured the card was going to come sealed or something. It probably should have in hindsight. lol

Thanks for the heads up. I'm sensitive to fragrances too, so I'll have to be careful with it.

EDIT: Mine just showed up, and it's not bad at all. I have to hold it up really close to my nose to smell anything. Could it be a temperature thing? Mine was cool when I opened it, which is fairly rare with California weather.

I love Pecker. No pun intended. I'd take it on Blu-ray from just about any vanity label at this point.

I love Pecker to. It’s such a sweet movie. NO TEA BAGGING!

But Polyester is my fav Walters movie. I grew up in the Australian equilavent of Baltimore - Newcastle. My dad was a dodgy banker always having affairs and my mother was an agoraphobic sweetheart who did her best but got a little too deep into mothers little helper....

I was born gay and my older sister ran off with a butch diesel dyke. My brother escaped to his perfect girlfriends perfect family and we never saw him again. My sister was born deaf but was also born a ***** but because she was deaf everyone over looked the fact that she was a total ***** using her disability to get want she wanted at every opportunity.

But my mum loved us all and did what she could. My sister is still a *****, my brothers perfect girlfriend left him for a younger guy after 20 years and two kids and my older sister hung herself.

Polyester is like someone made a gonzo comedy of my family and I just LOVE it. Polyester is a love letter to my mother who has over come her hard life and is now a very strong positive empowered woman that I am very proud of.

In the end, it doesn't matter though. Solid PQ, AQ, and Extras. As a lover of this film that's all that matters to me! Seems like another Waters film that Criterion knocked out the park.

Still a big hole in his Filmography HD-wise. Desperate Living better be coming soon! Also still need Pecker, Cecil, and A Dirty Shame on Blu. I haven't seen ADS in almost 15 years since it came out in theaters. I can't believe I never even bought the DVD! Come to think of it, looking at the release date of it in the US, it is almost exactly 15 years to the date. Wow. I still have the ticket stub, but not sure where it is. I wanna find it and see the date.

God 15 years! Wow. The coke bottle joke in the retirement home always kills me. It also introduced me to the term “upper decker”....
