"Corazon" is, of course, Mexican; and more importantly, it's in the '50's "Golden Age" era. A fellow poster here gave me the names of 2 other Mexican "Golden Age" 3D films:

"El Valor de Vivir"
"El Jinete"

Wish I could give him credit, but I can't remember his name.

I don't think the two Crossing films had IMAX ratio, Part II even didn't receive the IMAX release.

There's one release with the expanded ratio for both parts but only in 2D. Not sure if this is it but I'm sure I read about it somewhere.

Yes, the Taiwan version is the only blu-ray release of these two films I think. I didn't own it but I thought this set was in 2.35:1. If the 1.78:1 version exists, I think that will just be a sort of open matte version provided for HDTV or something like that. The IMAX version of the first one is 2.35:1 also and the second one didn't have IMAX release.

By the way, the 3D conversion of the first film is just horrible, conversion of the second one is better, but not memorable.

There's a good-looking 3D trailer for The Gadget Gang In Outer Space on the Brazilian edition of The Son Of Bigfoot so it's coming soon, but whether it makes it to 3D blu-ray or not is another story...

Landlady (On A Winter's Night) 2015
Stereo 3D Filmmaking The Complete Interactive Course 2010

The Landlady is a short French film. Has anyone seen it? What I've been doing is researching people on IMDB noted as stereographers. Eric Deren who worked on Amazing Spider Man, Mysteries of the Unseen World, Hidden as well as others led me to Landlady which led me to the director David Steiner who put out the Stereo 3d Filmmaking title.

Looking forward to the Maze, National Parks and Dream Big!

Those Korean silver age titles mentioned there reminded me the first feature-length mainland China 3D film, Magician's Adventure (Mo shu shi de qi yu, 魔术师的奇遇), made in 1962. Though the film is actually 47-minute long and I heard only the black and white part of the film were in 3D. Of course no 3D blu-ray of it ever got released. I believe the film was already restored by Shanghai Film Studios but it's very likely that they only restored the 2D version.

And a 1953 Hong Kong film Nightmare (Hei shou tao, 黑手套) was advertised as the first 3D film from Shaw Brothers but I can't find much information about it.

Also some Chinese animation should be on "Never Released on 3D Blu-ray" list: Big Fish & Begonia (2016) and Dahufa (2017), both 2D animation got 3D conversion. Monkey King: Hero is Back (2015), native 3D animation though the 3D is mild and many 3D errors were rendered.

Hopefully this movie will come out...Moonglow
https://moonglow3d.brownpapertickets.com/

Also I would like to compile a list of native shot films with extended cuts where the extended cuts weren't in 3d such as Avatar, the Martian...
as opposed to conversions such as Batman vs Superman, Ghostbusters, Hercules, Poltergeist, Suicide Squad and Wolverine where presumably conversions weren't made. I guess the Hobbit is the only case where the whole movie has been issued as such?

It wouldn't be a very long list. I've listed Avatar as the extended cut did get a theatrical release in 3D, but that wasn't the case for The Martian and X-Men Days Of Future Past or I think any others besides the Hobbit films...

I'm sure there are still a few Indian 3D films missing from the list. Kochadaiiyaan is another I just added but I have to work through the full list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Indian_3D_films

I would LOVE to see a 3D Shaw movie! Found this on HKMDB--seems it was also known as "Black Gloves." If you click on "images," there are a couple lobby cards/posters. I don't seen anything in English on those indicating 3D. Anyone here read Chinese?

Edit: Can't seem to get the link to work. Here's the main page, you can search for "Black Gloves" in the "movie" box :

I'm Chinese, I found this film had two Chinese titles too, "黑手套"(Black Gloves) and "夢裡驚魂"(Nightmare). Here's the images I found online from an old movie magazine "Movie Circle" about this film, which are the only information I found saying this in 3D.

"We already had a detailed article about the production status of Black Gloves back in the Vol.14 of our maganize. This 3D film cost a lot money and time during its production. Especially on the technical part, many efforts were made to ensure the image could come out of the screen. With the continuing improvements on technology, the film is near its completion and very close to meet the audiences."

Looks like there's a previous volume of the magazine told the details of its 3D production, I would love to read that!

Default R.M. Hayes 3-D Movies

Hello Mr. 13th:

What are your thoughts on the book by Mr. R.M. Hayes, 3-D Movies?

I see it has literally thousands of movies listed, with reviews, that never made it to blu-ray or dvd (250 pages of them!)

It is one of my go-to sources when I find a side-by-side and have to decide if the 3d is worth investing in. Like Fort Ti for example, with the first spit in your face in 3d!

Only wish it was more up to date.

The Hayes 3-D book is riddled with mistakes. In some cases, if he didn't have information, he fabricated data.

Here are 60 pages of corrections on his widescreen book: http://www.film-tech.com/warehouse/tips/WSMC20.pdf

There is a need for an accurate and up-to-date narrative history of 3-D cinema.

Hello Bob:

Thank you for your, as always, infinite knowledge on the subject so dear to all our hearts.

Do you have a recommendation of another book that is factually correct on the history of 3-D movies?

I was just happy to find a book that gave me 250 pages of reviews, etc of 3-D Movies. But I did not know that I was better off not reading it as it was so full of errors as to be basically useless. Does it have any redeeming characteristics or should I just burn it?

I would never advocate book-burning.

That being said, the definitive and accurate book on 3-D movies has yet to be written.
