You know what I'd really like Shout to release? The documentary Electric Boogaloo with a bunch of extra interviews and more behind the scenes stories!!!

I don't think you can really criticize them for double dipping since the last release came out in 2014. I think four years is beyond the statute of limitations for calling it a cash grab. I assume they didn't have access to the resources back then to make it a collector's edition. I'm just happy they're doing it now. If they want to re-release Swamp Thing as a CE next I wouldn't complain.

That’d be awesome. Speaking of Canon, It’d also be cool if Shout! Could release 10 to Midnight since the Twlight Time disc has sold out.

I would definitely love to hear from Lucinda Dickey talking about her work with Cannon and Domination in particular. As a kid I had a huge crush on her with his movie. I loved her healthy sports-y look and her wonderful smile. Oh, I do hope the years have been kind to her.

She looked as if she still maintained her V8 diet in the Electric Boogaloo doc.

It's out of the country, which immediately limits it's sales potential, but it is region free. Shout just needs to license this disc and it's contents (and put it on two blus).

In a way it is a zero sum game -- figure 5 titles a month, that's 60 a year. Most of the labels seem uncomfortable projecting physical media will last more than five years, and while I'm not trying to start that argument, it provides a good cut-off point, you can say that their five year plan would be to release approximately 300 titles. (I may be off on some of those figures, but at least you see how the logic progresses even if the numbers are wrong.) So in that sense, any effort that is put into this movie is theoretically costing some other movie a slot. That said, I think that realistically, based on the releases of the past several months from Shout, it's not something to worry much about; it seems to me like they will need all the titles they can get so they won't be holding anything back because of this.

It's taken from the first release, so at least it's actually her face. Her face on the official cover looks so dumb to me, with just dead fish soulless eyes. It's mu biggest gripe with the cover. I'm sure someone with Photoshop skillls could probably get a proper pic of her face to put over the one they used.

I'm very surprised to see this re-released so soon and by the same company.

The new interviews are somewhat enticing, but star Sho Kosugi really should be involved. I can only assume he must've declined their request.

I wish they'd get a NEW solo commentary track from Director Sam Firstenberg. The previous one with Firstenberg and stunt coordinator Steve Lambert is loaded with self-aggrandizing B.S. and lies from Lambert who rarely let Firstenberg talk. Firstenberg had no problem doing a solo commentary track for American Ninja after the same kind of nonsense was spewed out by Lambert on the commentary track for the earlier UK Blu-ray release of that film. Firstenberg is a straight shooter and it'd be nice to have the real behind the scenes facts for this film as well.

The one thing that would make this a MUST HAVE is if they included the COMPLETE deleted scene which is loaded with action. We only get a brief look at it in the film in the flashback where we see how Sho's character lost his eye.

If like me you'd like them to include the deleted scene, please contact Shout! Factory (https://www.shoutfactory.com/corp/contact-us) and ask them to include it at least as an extra and/or post a comment here:
https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=6744

Let's make this happen. Might be our last chance.

There's a bit of the sequence at the start of this trailer:

And there are plenty of pictures from this scene too:

Plenty of them available on Amazon for around 25 new. I like that it has two docs on it.

If someone buys this from scream factory and would sell the poster to me at a reasonable price I'll buy it.

My wife and I love that poster a lot but were happy with our current blu ray of the movie and can't justify re buying it just for a poster. Have a perfect spot with our other sf posters right next to the car poster.

Send me a pm.

Was the original release that bad PQ wise? I dont trmemeber it being that bad nor the type of film that needed a new transfer but its been a while.

No it’s actually solid. I don’t expect this release to be substantially better. I just wish SF would release UHD’s already.
