Horror movies that take place on islands (Blu-ray list)

Regarding The Reef, I don't recall any island except for a tiny rock near the end of the movie? 90% is spend in open water. Unlike The Reef, The Shallows actually takes place mostly on a tiny rock, but calling it an island would be kind of stretching it I think.

The island scene is so pivotal in The Reef that I was compelled to include it, but you’re right about the rock only being featured for a short while.

I still need to buy this Blu-ray. I owned the DVD way back when.

Can't recall if Turistas was on an island or just some exotic locale. If if was an island, it's on blu in many countries not named America.

Turistas takes place on the Brazilian coast, and not on an island.

It’s a great film, though, and it’s a glaring travesty of the Blu-ray format that it’s not available on a region A disc yet.

Nope. I'm thinking more in terms of “remote or deserted islands” where the isolation of the island setting adds to the sense of unease.
Manhattan, Australia, and other such places don't count.

I just added Vinegar Syndrome's 5 Films 5 Years Vol. 2 Blu-ray set, because it includes The Dungeons of Harrow, which, of course, takes place on an island.
