Great news. Let's hope more lesser known 90's horror starts making it out on Blu-ray.

Yeah, another person who's never seen this (or heard of it), but I think I'm in based on the trailer. Weird Hackers meets horror meet X-Files meets Lawnmower Man meets I-dont-know-what. Weird!

Yes would love to see more 90s horror get the attention. Theres so many 70s and 80s titles on blu, lets focus on this neglected era.

Brainscan is a much under-rated film; really excited for this announcement. This might be the best announcement in some time from Scream.

I'd love it if they had an isolated full score track or a score cd. I love the score by George S. Clinton, it's one of my favorites.

It's absolute crap!

I actually think the Trickster aspect was added in by execs after most everything was set. Most of the movie is a creepy murder mystery about a troubled kid playing a game that may have induced him to kill, then about 2/3 of the way in the Trickster appears and feels very out of place with the rest of the film.

I used to get this film mixed up with Ghost in the Machine, crazy movie but not worthy of a purchase. Happy for fans of it though, great soundtrack & hope rights issues don’t come into factor.

For me, it's the score by Graeme Revell that elevates this film to another level. It just gives the film this creepy feeling of dredd and mystery that the film by itself doesn't really earn.

So it looks like ITunes has an HD version that wasn’t there a few weeks ago.

That makes it sound a whole lot worse actually But there is just no getting around for me how cynically it exploits trends in youth culture at the time in such a crass and obvious way while completely missing the mark.

For the person who said it feels like a Sega Genesis horror film: Night Trap. Remember that game? It informed much of the thinking about so called 'violent video games' of the time, the kind of perceptions that Brainscan attempts to capitalise on.

That is what dates the film more than the tech, along with Trickster's image.

I agree with the hope of more lesser known 90’s fare getting released. Ghost in the Machine and Hideaway are two that come to mind.

Ghost In The Machine is awesome. I have the poster to it and Brainscan both in my garage. Fun flicks.

I'm ok with it being dated since I love the early 90's so much. If it WASN'T dated, I wouldn't like it as much.

Looks good. Wonder why this isn't a CE. Was really hoping for something with the composer, and we got it.
