Ohh right, shoosh it was 4:30 in the morning :P
![]() Because the DVD looks terrible, even though the Xbox One X is meant to upscale. Last edited by GreatZTaste; 01-25-2020 at 02:15 AM. |

Anyone still watching this? They're tackling social injustice and police brutality this season, but it seems so out of place on a show that loves to tie everything up in a neat bow by the end of the episode. Comes across like an after school special. Last night's episode had a speechifying moment about the only three times a cop should ever fire their gun... on a show where cops fire their guns almost every episode... and then there was a big shootout later on.

Maybe I'll just go back to watching reruns of The Mentalist, The Closer, and Castle! |

Prodigal Son is tackling the topic of racist police too, but even though it's a far more absurd show, it feels like they're doing it a lot better than The Rookie. Maybe it's because they don't come across like they're doing "a very special episode of."

Anyone watching the spin-off, The Rookie: Feds?
It's based around Niecy Nash-Betts' character Simone Clark, who was introduced in a couple of episodes last season. Kevin Zegers, Frankie Faison & Britt Robertson also star. To be honest, I'm only really watching it for the latter. ![]() The first couple of episodes have been good fun & feel much more lighthearted than current run of The Rookie, though thus far I can't really decide if the leading lady is irritating or endearing. She treads a very fine line... Also, the amount of cleavage she displays is frankly ridiculous. Surely there must be some kind of dress code in the FBI? ![]() Oh, & apparently being a high school guidance counselor is pretty much all the training you'll ever need to be an FBI agent. Who knew? ![]() ![]() |

I only watched the first episode so far and I thought it was alright. Yea the amount of cleavage was ridiculous but at the end of the episode they changed her outfit and it was much better. |

I'm going to watch it as long as it's on and Britt Robertson is there. Not sure if it's going to be any good.
Niecy's beeewbs really are ridiculously large ![]() Season six of The Regular Rookie is looking good. Quote:

They have their own academy. She applied, got in and graduated. Not really that big of a stretch. No more than Nolan joining the LAPD at 40. Last edited by Naiera; 10-06-2022 at 03:38 PM. |
