Love Bong Joon-Ho, so happy for him and film in general! Hopefully this will play by me when it's released, I was able to catch Mother in the theater.

hope this gets a decent release. dont know that I can think of any neon release that has played by me.

I remember Neon releasing I, Tonya and I believe that's their biggest release.

Bong Joon-Ho’s Palme d’Or Winner ‘Parasite’ Invades U.S. This Fall

The CJ Entertainment opened in its homeland of South Korea today and is expected to rival Warner Bros./Legendary massive Godzilla: King of the Monsters for the top spot. Natch, Joon-Ho’s movies are big South Korea, i.e. his 2014 title Snowpiercer made close to $60M there and 2007’s The Host made close to $65M.

Parasite about a low-income family who works its way into a rich family’s lives as household employees with zany results won the Palme d’Or unanimously at Cannes.

Parasite marks Bong’s comeback to Korean language film following Netflix’s Okja and Weinstein Co./Radius’ Snowpiercer. It is also the auteur’s fourth collaboration with Song Kang-Ho (Snowpiercer, The Host, Memories of Murder) who stars in the film. Parasite also reps the fifth collaboration between NEON CEO, Tom Quinn and Joon-Ho. Quinn released Bong’s Snowpiercer to become one of the highest grossing multi-platform titles of all time.

Kwak Sin Ae and Jang Young Hwan from Barunson E&A Corp produced, with CJ Entertainment handling international sales and set to distribute in Korea.

Weekend attendance of 3.3M in Korea! That's about 1 out of every 15 people in Korea.

I'm seeing a lot of pop-up of Korean YouTube videos of 'Secrets of', 'Meaning of', 'What the ending meant', etc.

So annoying . . .

I'm not watching any of them obviously but they are not making the wait easy.

I have, however, been reading some Korean articles without spoilers. One of the article was about sub-title translation of modern Korean 'compound' words. Darcy Paquet, who worked on Snowpiercer, will do the sub-titles. Darcy & Bong collaborated closely to ensure the sub-title accurately translates Bong's intent.

Great film. No one else could have wrote this except Bong Joon-ho.

This will definitely end up in my top list for the year.

I really cannot wait to see this, Bong has been one of my favorite directors for a while now and this looks like it may be his greatest film yet!
