I remember the first Nightwing trailer that just had a camera flying over a dark desert landscape and I thought it might be more about mutant vampire creatures rather than regular bats, was disappointed the first time I watched it on HBO. It was more like Jaws with bats, down to the heroes in a "bat cage".

But the movie grew on me due to the desert location and Native American themes and the always enjoyable Nick Mancuso performance. The Henry Mancini music is first rate.

This is an excellent movie grouping with Shadow of the Hawk, just wish there was more than the movies themselves. At least hope the PQ is an improvement.

I have the Nightwing DVD and had found a very good fan made commentary with Nick Mancuso that I matched to the ripped video, works out really well. You can find the Nightwing "pirate commentary", along with a couple others, here:

If I lived in L.A. I would totally do this as a hobby. How cool.

I just found out that both this one and "Strait-Jacket & Berserk" Double Feature aren't available to order anymore on Amazon

Or maybe it will be a store exclusive, somewhere?

It's still available on their website 'though...

I read on another forum that SHADOW OF THE HAWK/NIGHTWING has been bumped until October.

It's now been canceled. Amazon is no longer taking orders. You have to sign up to be alerted if it should ever be released. Dammit!

The preorder is still up. I just ordered it. I thought I already did but it didn't show up in my order history.

Amazon are weird about doing that with pre-releases sometimes, whatever their reason. My pre-order placed on June 7th is still active.

It's also still up at Mill Creek's website and various other retailers, so I wouldn't be too worried.

Waited too long enough for Shadow of the Hawk. Which had a great scan for as long as Christine has so this better be the last push back.

I'm really wanting this, but it must have English SDH in order to be a viable purchase. I can't find any definitive answers anywhere. Most usually, Mill Creek does not supply subtitles, especially with such rare films, so I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't carry them. But, miracles do happen, so I'd appreciate if anyone could let me know after they have a copy of this blu-ray in hand. Thanks!
