On the features if you will. What interests me is it says it has deleted scenes. I don't recall the earlier 3-disc set having deleted scenes, outside of the director's cut. BB has their street date one week earlier than Amazon. I love this movie though.
Just tried to play the director's cut disc and the sound is lossy 5.1 ONLY along with a 2.0 PCM track. Only the theatrical cut has a lossless DTS HD Master audio.
There never were separate deleted scenes on the MGM 3-disc DVD or this release.

I remember it being in the trailers, but hated when it was absent from the final film. In the theatrical cut it spends so much time with hearing her letters, but having that early scene makes more sense for him to have stronger feelings for her.

There is also an additional action scene where they are attacked by a sniper in a tree.
Only lossy 5.1 sound on the DC....WTF it's 2018 not 2008
I can´t believe this either. I was so eager to finally get the DC on blu-ray and now it only comes with a lossy 5.1 track or a shitty (sorry, it is a modern war movie that has a 5.1 track, that´s why I call it shitty) 2.0 track. They can keep it.
Guess I have to wait for a "real" quality release from somewhere else.
Wouldn´t be surprised if there will be a decent release in the UK in the near future. Fingers crossed...
Can anyone with the discs please tell me if the Director Introduction to the Director's Cut Version of the film and the Multi-View Battle Sequences feature has made it over to the Blu? I don't see those two features listed on the back. I was hoping to get rid of my DVD edition but if those aren't carried over.....
For the life of me I can't find them anywhere on mine either. Here's what's weird, DVDTALK mentions 15 minutes, but says they're the cut scenes from the DC, but I don't see them anywhere on either disc. I hope someone can fill us in.
It has nearly all the extras from the three disc DVD except for the MGM trailer gallery along with both cuts of the film. There are no seperate deleted scenes on this release.
No deleted scenes and the introduction from John Woo is missing. Image quality of the DC seams fine to me. Audio was ok but missing the kind of punch I would expect from a post year 2000 war movie.
At around the 15 min mark in the scene with the hearing test I noticed a slight jitter of the image in some shots. Compared the scene with my UK DVD copy and it was the same. So I asume it is inherent in the filmed material.
