Looking forward to hearing from everyone on the story and gameplay. I wonder if McFarlane still has the action figure license? I was kind of bummed when NECA dropped it, but between the stores like Suncoast and TRU closing doors I can kind of understand their direction.

Another game I'm glad is coming to Gamepass. I'll play through for the story and never touch it again like the rest of the series.

HDR looked great (which wasn't much of a surprise since 4 looked great as well).

Short answer, yes. Somewhere in the middle. It gives you some backstory to her character. I also understand there is a book that leads up to it too, but I’ve never been that hardcore.

Can't wait for this. Definitely gonna be a day one purchase. Playing Horde mode with friends over and over again is always a blast. Gonna get lots of playtime out of this just like all the others.

Im the reverse. i didnt even finish story mode in 4. I just play Gears for the online modes

Um absolutely not lol

Gears 1 I was ranked top 300 in warzone

Gears 2 completely changed from shotgun bullet spread to hammerburst, and mods, how hosting worked. Even movement and wall bouncing.

Gears 3 again changed adding more speed and refinement to 2 also created new issues with the double barrel and (retro which I loved the retro)

Gears Judgement was probably the closest consistent game as it was essentially gears 3 with some tweaks.

Gears UE which I'm ranked top 150 in TDM refined a lot of the things with Gears 1 and probably the best of all the games (albeit still has issues like every gears game)

Gears 4 which I just finished the campaign is NOTHING like any of the above, its a ground up build and has TONS of issues, most of the pros I know (who get paid to play it) hated it, hated the movement, the bullet patterns etc.

So with the above said... Having rankned up about 30 levels in the beta, I would say it plays like a hybrid of 2 and 3 but is clearly superior in polish and fixing some of the issues that were in 4. I'm sure it'll be polished up even more when its released but to me the online is at least playable compared to how bad 4 was.

Its terrible compared to the others.

Gears is the only game that has changed EVERY TIME mechanically and movement wise. lol Never seen so much turnover in how a game plays like it does in gears.

Its one of the most toxic, try hard communities I've ever been apart of and I love it lol

I'd rank them like this in-terms of challenging and polish.
1. Gears UE
2. Gears 3
3. Gears 2
4. Gears Judgement
5. Gears 4


If 5 plays like the beta or better I'd put that in the 3 or 4 spot and bump Judgement and 4 down

My names more well known so I get sh* worse than most and I give it back lmao but even if you just hopped on as a newb and picked up the concepts and got good you'd be getting I'd say 5-10 harassing messages a week not to mention party invites into angry group chats to scream at you minimum lol

It really isn't like anything else fortnite, even COD is tame compared to it.

I haven't been able to get into the multiplayer on any game, despite putting in a fair amount trying on each one.

However, I love coop on insane. Finished each campaign on insane with the same friend and looking forward to Gears 5 just for that experience.

How the hell wasn’t this announced sooner and why do they always release these in between consoles? Doesn’t Scarlet come out next year? I ran into this when I picked up the Halo 5 One console and then they announced the S and X
