Very fun cover. I hope it's nicely spot glossed on the washer window.

It'd be neat if they could do a lenticular magnet or something to make it look like the suit is moving inside the washer when you move the cover.

Buy why is the washing machine backwards? The door should open the other way. Also, I haven't seen this in the theater yet... but I don't get the reference. Was there a scene where they had to wash their uniforms?

Some washing machines open that way.

Edna mentions their red suits are machine washable. It's a new feature.

They could have, but then my reaction would have been the artwork was lazy and uninspired. I want something fresh, something different, and this is exactly what they gave us here. I think some folks are equating a mundane task (doing laundry) with the provided artwork, that they should have drawn inspiration from another scene from the film, but why not this one?

Bottom line: everyone will never be in agreement of what they think should be the artwork on the Steelbook. When you have a blank canvas and given free rein over the subject, why replicate the same ideas all of the other studios have adopted with their offerings? I love the washing machine idea because i) it ties in to the film, and ii) it hasn't been done before. This is a fun movie, and we (finally!) have a fun cover to match.

My issue with the front cover is that it isn't representative of the film's distinctive and dazzling visual design. It's merely an early teaser poster slapped onto the front.

I enjoyed the recent BB SteelBook cover because it was evocative of the animation style shown during the end credits.

Give me something that reminds me why I love the movie so much I decided to buy a premium version of it instead of the regular Amaray case.

What do you suggest? (And it better not involve plugging all of the characters on the front in an action pose, or worse, floating heads
[Show spoiler]

I'm not a big fan of floating heads either, but an action pose done well will pique my interest.

Someone already posted this concept art poster on the first page. Aesthetically, it goes well with the BB SteelBook for the first movie, and it could be punched up just a wee bit to make a great front cover for this one:

I'm sure there's other great art out there. Blufans typically does very well in its art selection, but I need them to embrace 4K now.

Meh. Been there, done that. Got anything else?

The art style is evocative of what we saw in the first Steelbook; not bad, but uneventful. Lacking, even. Time for a new direction.

The washing machine art is perfect. No need to change this one.

That seems to be standard for Pixar’s summer releases. First week of November (think there was one that was end of October though - Monsters University I think). Although they’ve been breaking some of those patterns recently.
