What's with the spine only showing the Blu-ray logo? The Zavvi description also just lists two Blu-ray discs... just pre-release errors I suppose?

Definitely want to pick this up. I’d like a 4K release of the first film too. It could still benefit from a 4K master even though it was shot on 16mm.

I remember that from the UK VHS which I bought in the late 80s. It had a picture of a deleted scene on the backcover IIRC, so that was the reason I bought it thinking it would be the full version of the movie. Ofcourse no such thing and even worse, that UK version cut out the kicks to Ash's head by Jake. There's blood and gore everywhere and the thing they took out was two kicks to the head?!

As a matter of fact, no it wasn't.

I see now I remembered it incorrectly. It was this one:

And the reason I bought it wasn't because of a picture of a deleted scene (which it doesn't have obviously). It was the running time which was listed on that UK release. The running time on the VHS cover of the one in my country was shorter, so that's why I assumed the UK one was the full/longer cut. And it was actually the backcover of my country's Evil Dead 2 release which featured a picture of a deleted scene.

It's all coming back to me now.

Funny how this 4K steelbook is actually my first double dip for Evil Dead 2.

If a 4K for the original came out, that would be my third copy (special features laden DVD and blu-ray disc only).

I already had googled it, hence why I said ”I cannot find it” although I have just googled it again and 15 hours ago bloody disgusting posted and it states that a combo pack is due to be released this October so I have my answer now. (although it doesn't mention an international release)

wasn't meaning to be rude its just my sarcasm. When I seen this comment originally it was literally underneath the evil dead 4k thread. The good thing about 4K is that there region free and amazon ships globally. I'm guessing best buy will do a 4k steelbook too along with zavvi's evil dead 2 4k steel
