Has it actually been confirmed anywhere that this is an actual 4k scan, or just wishful thinking? Based off Studiocanal's recent re-releases like Highlander and The Deer Hunter, I'd be very surprised if this was just an upscale, but some confirmation would be nice. If the standard Blu-ray included is also sourced from the (hopefully) new transfer, I hope there's ample room on the disc to house the film and all those special features without compromising anything. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think all the extras apart from the 52min bonus about the influence on directors?

for those complaining about the spine, it has been corrected on zavvi's site... I would have bought it either way, it doesn't really bother me which way the text faces

Did this seriously sell out in a couple days? What are they making 50 copies of these things? Predator sold out in the first week also. What's the point in all these steelbooks you cant even get without paying twice the price on ebay.

That Predator artwork has to be one of the worst. Waiting to see what happens with the US releases when the new movie drops. I just couldn't pull the trigger on that artwork for that or Cabin In The Woods. The Evil Dead cover is pretty good though. I don't like buying steelbooks that don't have the original language all over the cover so I have to pass on the FR.

If you don't plan on opening it, I understand the preference. I rarely leave mine closed so the J-card doesn't matter to be that much but I will say I usually store my SteelBooks with their J-cards unless it is in a foreign language, those get thrown away

By not opening it you avoid the whole double dipping also. If you sell it before the market gets flooded with a newer or better release you will usually get all your money back if not a lot more to pay for the new release. This is a prime example right here. Upgrading from Blu Ray to 4K. Plus it's harder to sell the foreign language import, especially when there's an all original language version available. If I know there is no better version coming or the release was cheap enough I'll buy two and open one. I just get the digital download and stream it from the PC if I want to watch it in the meantime.
