Eureka still has some files for me to check out and identify. I'm thinking they are probably the international cuts with the classic English dubs.
They will be standard def most likely. I will update when I know for sure.

Still need a Japanese translator for that Japanese TV Special so if anyone is up to the task please PM me.

Oh, OK. That's fine then. As long as it's included. The stereo track can be considered an interesting bonus. But just so Eureka aren't accused of misleading anyone, best tell them that mono is original for both films.

Loving the idea of these boxsets - what might be really cool is if Eureka could get some titles HKL didnt get quite right the first time and revisit them - Legend of a Fighter (wrong language?), Magnificent Butcher (stretched image) et al

Or maybe theyre doing Jackie boxsets for now, maybe Sammo films later (Prodigal Son with the hilarious English dub?). Or a OUATIC set (1st 3 films).
The cloth artwork of the HK DVD looks cool however.

Wrong aspect ratio if I remember correctly. Would love it if someone released that, such an underrated film

The film is cropped from 2:35:1 to 1:78:1 (for commercial reasons).
The last minute or so in the English soundtrack includes newly recorded music which is close to the original and for 2 lines ("Why?"), the dialogue reverts to Mandarin and then after; to English.

Legend of a Fighter any time soon is highly unlikely seeing as Eureka are relying on Fortune Star to provide the scans/restorations.

Legend is frustrating as HKL likely had a one-time chance to do a decent home video presentation of it, and they botched it utterly.
