Some people can't get out to the theater at all, let alone on the first night of release.

I'm sure I'm as much, if not more, of a movie fan than most on this board, and I haven't been to a movie theater in over 2 years.

I get 3D films on release day to support the format but for the rest I wait for until the standard release is in HMV's 5 for 30 deal.

I guess I must hate movies...

Now if you have a job such as "house sitter" that requires zero enguagement and full freedom to actually watch that many films. Then more power to you, but even if that is the case, with respect I'd offer the advice of spending less time in front of the tv,/projector and enrich ones life with other things.

Try making films for example with all you learned from consuming them.

Who the hell are you to tell people to enrich their lives doing other things? For some people, many on this forum, watching movies, which is their passion, is enriching their lives.

I’ve done the Thursday midnight thing a few times with 8am work the next day. Fun times it’s part of the experience. If Halloween 2018 has a midnight showing I’ll probably go.

Hello, most of us work 8am-4pm 5 days a week. A regular job. So every evening is free. But okay.

All depends, to me a movie is entertaining and fun to watch. A film has something to say about its content and wants you to think on its point of view. Pacific Rim is a Movie, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is a film.

With a job and kids, life gets in the way a lot more for me on the weekdays. I've done it for the Star Wars films, but it takes some effort and planning to get out for a weekday showing even at night.
