I was able to score one of the 20th Anniversary Editions on release day. Let's see if my luck still holds up for this one. However, it did take about 45 minutes of mashing refresh in my cart before I could actually get the order to process.

Side note: 90% of people buying one will be flipping it on eBay. If it's anything like the 20th edition, they'll be selling for $500 on Sony's website and then re-selling on eBay for $3,000+ minutes later.

Ebay should put a policy in place that doesn't allow flipping on console releases for a few months to stop the scum.

I’m still torn. I sold that 20th Anniversary Edition last year and I don’t want to buy another PS4 now with PS5 most likely coming out within the next year and a half.

I wouldn't be able to do it. I still have a sealed 20th Anniversary DS4 that I bought when the rubber went on my launch DS4 but never ended up opening it because it was a "limited edition".

I want this so much but I know I'd never use it and £500 would be much better spent on a PS5.

@derb, we're 2 years away from PS5 imo, but even so, this is a slice of playstation history so I'll do my best to get one and if I do, it'll definitely be opened and put to use! Current console will head to another room and be used for VR gaming.

You can't but that translucent cover though. Or a piece of PlayStation history, which is what this represents. Most limited editions are tied to a game, this isn't.

I'll still be getting a PS5 on launch day, but I reckon I've got a good two years of Pro gaming before that happens. Are you really saying no one should buy a Pro from today onwards?

I think it’s a good deal, a standard pro is usually £350 and this is £450...the stand is £17, camera is £43 and an additional 1tb is £40, not to mention with low quantity and what the console represents, it should be highly collectible and imo the best looking pro yet...I hope you were/are able to get one pal.

Just saw a few on eBay already for $980 USD, August 24th will be interesting. how’s the pre order going in the UK today ? Did any of you here were able to get one ?

I guess if you call it a preorder it's ok. I bought a blu set the other day from ebay and the seller instantly messaged me saying that it's just a place holder and reffered me to his site where I could buy it. I thought I just did lol. He refunded me the money and didn't bother with it.
