Ordered my copy on the 9th of Feb and it is now the 12th of March.Does it take that long to arrive from Germany or should I consider this lost in the mail.Package was sent without tracking.Should I wait a little longer or dispute the charge on my credit card.Please can anybody give me advice.Never really ordered from so far away but I love this movie.thank you eddie.

Give it until the end of the month. I've sometimes had international packages take up to 8 week to arrive.

Hopefully in reviving this thread I can find some assistance.....

Does anybody in the UK own the german mediabook release of The Warriors? I understand it is the theatrical cut - the reason I'm asking is that I run a small community cinema and i'm holding a double bill of The Warriors and Escape From New York this weekend. I was completely unaware of the german release until now, I was having to accept that I would need to show the inferior Director's Ultimate Edition, and now I know about the german version - I really don't want to show the UD version. However, there is no chance that I can get a copy of the german mediabook from abroad via amazon.de or ebay in such a short space of time.

I was hoping somebody in the UK may own this version and be kind enough to let me borrow it for the screening this weekend. I would obviously provide any guarantee required of it's safe use and return, even if the lender wanted to come to the screening to allow use of the disc.

Will someone please let me know if they would be willing to assist? Many thanks for your time.

I am located in Huddersfield, I hold screenings under the name of The Amity Cinema - it can be found on facebook. Fingers crossed someone here may be able to assist, I would absolutely love to be able to show the theatrical version.

To those on here with The Warriors German mediabook from 84 Entertainment. Anyone else notice the strange small cross appear at the bottom right corner of the screen at 0:41:49? Just wondering if anyone knows what that is? I've had two copies of this as one arrived damaged, and it's in both of them. So pretty sure it will be on all copies. Just checked my Ultimate Edition bluray and DVD and it's not present on either of those editions, so must be some authoring error. It's not enough if an issue to distract and ruin the movie. Just wondering if anyone knows what it is?

Yup it's there. Almost looks like a software window. Kind of like that glitch on the extended cut of Dune from Germany where it produces a PiP for a bit.

Exactly. Not a huge deal but some kind of authoring glitch. I thought it had been mentioned in here already but you won't find a copy that doesn't have it.

I've ordered the Imprint release. Fingers crossed it's not there in that one. Its one of my favourite films so I'm more picky than I would be with many other films. I'll report back when I get it.

The "software glitch" certainly won't be there, but there might be poor encoding. May not be, Imprint's a little bit of a mixed bag on that front. But I'll probably keep the German release and just wait for a 4K, Imprint's releases are pricier than they should be.

I agree with them being hit or miss. Their release of The Gift looks horrendous. I sent it back to Amazon and got another release which looks significantly better.

I have a number of Imprint releases and many of them are great. But there are some that really are problematic because the masters are dated, then you throw some sketchy encoding on top. I haven't seen THE GIFT but DAY OF THE LOCUST is the singular worst Blu-Ray I've ever seen, ever.

I'm going to wait and see on THE WARRIORS to see if it's an improvement on the German release. I may buy it, but I still feel it's a popular enough catalog title for Paramount that they might do it as a 4K/Blu-Ray in their Paramount Presents line.

Question: Is the 2.0 on this disc the OG mono or the stereo version? DVDCompare claims stereo but since there is no entry credit present I thought I'd better ask.
