It was originally thought to have been the 23rd of this month, but as it turned out, that was a mistake, so probably not too long after that date.

No trial. Just a full game purchase. By the way, the game is still not on PSN. Why is it taking so long? Ready to play! To be honest, I think the developer has done poor marketing for this game. The actual release date was just announced a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully they do a better job with upcoming releases.

Streets of Rage and Beat em' Ups are niche-games these days. You can't expect a big marketing budged when it comes to such games.

Very true, but they could have at least provided better communication with regards to release dates/times. That's just good business practice.

Its sooooo long for a beat em up game and only one of the characters can actually run. They really overuse the annoying kickboxer dudes and its way too hard for my wife to coop with me as it aways end up with her dead and me left to deal with the bosses solo. Pretty meh on it

I'm still not used to the cell shaded graphics, and don't think I ever will get used to it. Should have gone with sprite based graphics instead. Stages are fine, gameplay is perfect, but somehow, I'm not feeling a lot of love for this one. Sort of regretting my purchase.

Streets of Rage 2 was one of the Genesis' biggest hits of all time. It's a major hit among classic gamers.

Beat 'em ups in general, like Final Fight are popular too. Every genre has something to offer gamers. A niche game might be something like Mosquito Man or something odd like A Dog's Life on PS2.
