Sony used to do all their 3D blu ray slips under the shrinkwrap too.

One of the best 3D discs I’ve ever watched! From the opening scene with what appear to be cherry blossoms and leaves seemingly filling the theater, you know the 3D was NOT an afterthought in the production of this movie. Scene after scene I was looking to nitpick some weak use of 3D and I’m hard-pressed to find even one. Textures and colors are excellent and are enhanced that much more when combined with the strong-medium 3D. Several pop-outs of main characters as well as floating debris including bubbles and fireflies...this movie is made for 3D.

One minor item that to me showed how much attention to detail was paid in the stereography was when a cat is pawing at a spring-loaded door-stop. In 2D the depth of the doorstop is not clear given the camera position immediately in front of it—however, in 3D it’s crystal clear that there are a couple inches of depth. Just a minor detail but it epitomizes to me how it’s not just the “big” things that are enhanced by 3D—but even small details like this.

The Atmos track is good—but I felt it could have been better. I may need to revisit this with the audio turned up a bit more next time but anytime you can get atmos with 3D it’s a good thing.

And yes, the UK disc is Region Free but no slip from amazon.

Good to know about the 3D, we loved the first movie and have re watched it many times!. I returned my naked copy to amazon and picked up a sealed copy with slip from eBay for £14.

Was in Tesco doing a midweek shop today and noticed this with a slip so had to get it. Thankfully had forgot to preorder it.

The Amazon no slip sounds like that other Universal release Mortal Engines. I think most people ordering from Amazon didn't get a slip.

Mine hasn't shipped yet which is odd considering lots of people already received theirs. Oh well. no rush. Plenty to watch as it is.

There are studies that show 3D (passive or active) may negatively affect neurological development related to vision. It’s your call but I would just go with the 2D until she’s in her teens.

The UK release has no slip which I get but the disc artwork and the menu have no title of the film whatsoever which is odd.

Amazon UK has been reported to not ship with slips.

Just finished watching Secret life of pets 2 at home on the projector, we both enjoyed it but story wise the first film was better, there was plenty of enjoyment with great tunes as soundtrack but also some cringeworthy boring moments.
As for the 3D it was great, mostly depth as is the norm at present but a few minor pop outs to. Colours and overall brightness just popped of the screen!.
I will probably pick this up as a 4k uhd to compare.

The original definitely has the stronger pop-outs, but the quality of the sequel in both pixel depth as well as colors & textures is superior in the sequel undoubtedly due to the advances in rendering technology. That said they are both demo-worthy 3D discs.

These are available on eBay for around £10-£12. I grabbed a copy with slip for £10. Will sell the 2D and stick the 3D into the 4K UHD case which is on its way.
The 2D disc is redundant if you have the 4K which features all the extras.
