Looks like their terrible slipcover for 10 Cloverfield Lake, which I'm sure is no coincidence. Thankfully, the box itself ditches the floating heads.

considering this (Paradox) was on Netflix in 4K/DV, does anyone know if this is getting a 4K release on UHD?

it would be ashamed not to. I do appreciate the Blu-Ray release reviewed the audio for it's ATMOS audio and 1080p video 5/5, now, all we need is 4K/DV to go with it.

Based on this site's review, sounds like at least from a technical perspective, the disc is a home run.

Kinda surprised that for both video and audio they say it is up there with the best the Blu Ray format has offered, as I thought it might be more of a quick/cheaply done release, so good for Paramount.

Its only 1080p/DV on Netflix but with Atmos/DD+.. Pick your poison.

This film was going to be an easy pass for me...until I realized Elizabeth Debicki was in it. Now, it's moved to the top of my to-watch list.

It does include ATMOS for LG tv's and Xbox owners too. I did read somewhere that later this year ATMOS gets a wide release on Netflix via an app update. so all those with capable 4k tv's with ATMOS receivers will get ATMOS audio.

I will probably pick this up for ATMOS and my continued support of physical media. I liked this on Netflix so the addition of ATMOS for me makes this a worth while purchase.

Overlord is coming with one, so it seems like it's likely the first reason

I think Paramount only retained physical media rights from the deal with Netflix.

I don't mind double dipping eventually, it's not like this release was breaking the bank... $15 for BD and then probably $15 for 4K down the line since it'd then be a catalog title, comes out to $30 for both which is what the 4K might have been near anyway lol

I got this early in the mail today, watched it... Didn't enjoy it less or more, still just average. I don't usually watch much BTS stuff but I watched the one on here hoping they might have mentioned stuff about The God Particle but they didn't. The director kept bringing up Cloverfield, even saying stuff about how themes were "organically baked into this Cloverfield experience" and how it could "evolve in a way that it could be a part of the Cloverfield family very seamlessly" when we know that's not true. Way too much overcompensation on his part lol

The God Particle probably would've made more sense...

I grabbed the Cloverfield: 3-Movie Collection earlier today. I’ve already got the first two movies on standard Blu-Ray, so I may just sell those off to save space.

I got it from Walmart. There were a few copies, and none had slipcovers. That did not deter me, since I can take or leave most mass-market Blu-ray slipcovers era that are exact image duplications of the artwork on the case sleeve.

The reviews here say both editions have a slipcover, with pictures of the 3-film collection set showing one.
